For anyone who didn't read the last issue of EXM this is how Anole was drawn.

So I'm glad that the recent change doesn't mean he'll always be drawn like an oversized monster.

He's so 90's.
Are we sure this expression is appropriate for the desired outcome?
Jumping the shark means reaching a point at which far-fetched events are included merely for the sake of novelty, indicative of a decline in quality.
Perhaps "bite the bullet" would be more appropriate? Or "shit or get off the pot" ? Or......"Just do it."

"Bite the bullet" isn't much better (generally speaking, it usually refers to doing something unpleasant). Neither is the second suggestion, IMO.
Awww sarcasm fail.
I meant for "Just do it" to be the definitive response.
I know it's off-topic but for anyone interested I read the first issue of Midnighter and Apollo. It definitely feels like a natural continuation of the previous Midnighter series and it has a sex scene between the two title characters as well as cameos by other DC gay characters Extrano and Monsieur Mallah & The Brain.
It's still too big. I want scrawny Anole back.
So he's not a tank, but he's still just a random bruiser now. His combination of being lightly built and stealthy, but with the powerful big arm is part of what made him unique.
I just hope a writer in the not too distant future will write a scene where he sheds his skin and emerges like his old self again.
Ugh! I've been avoiding threads about this book in the DC forum. Not all of us can read books the moment they come out, you know.
Midnighter & Apollo #1 is superb. It feel like a direct continuation of the previous series. Orlando has a great handle on the characters. The art is far better than I expected. The inks and colors are crisp. The artist is a close second to ACO for best artist on the title, and perhaps even sexier than him. The story is just getting started but if you like the characters or Orlando this is definitely worth picking up. Support queer characters!!!
Also... Jessica Jones #1 was fantastic. I was skeptical because I feel like she's been mishandle (mostly) since The Pulse ended, This sets her back on track as more of the outcast and it is surrounded in mystery.
I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.

Looks like I'll have to pick it up myself because your reaction and this (http://io9.gizmodo.com/everyone-hate...mic-1787449434) are on 2 different ends of the love/hate spectrum.
Might pick up Power Man/Iron Fist as well.
It doesn't bother me that the heroes/friends aren't liking her right now. As a long time reader we know its likely temporary, if not VERY temporary. But it plays onto her strengths as a character. She fucks up, but tries to do right - that's what makes her relatable and unique. She's the outsider among superheroes. Shes not the classic superhero, shes not the supporting housewife, they've essentially neutered her character since The Pulse and New Avengers Vol. 1.
