Silk demonstrates that Robbie Thompson is a solid choice for this kind of book. It's fun and accessible, and not reliant on crude humor/ unnecessary violence.

I guess the Spider-Man office really likes Thompson, considering this is his third title with them.

There is always risk when you go back in in a narrative and tell new tales. Just look at some of the oddities that arose with Star Wars.

Still, this is a great solution to the problem of people wanting to read about Peter but who are not fans of Dan Slott or the new direction. This is essentially a return to multiple titles starring Peter (like Web of and Spectacular) except this title has a clearly defined mission statement and a niche that is not duplicated by the main Peter book.

This is a great solution and Marvel deserves some praise for the idea.

Looking forward to this. Hope it's similar to the Marvel Adventures imprint from several years ago. If it is successful, maybe Marvel will do a similar X-Men and Avengers title as well.

I'll probably pick up some random issues of this. Should be fun seeing the villains in their classic costumes~

X-Men? No way. Avengers and Guardians? Definitely. Maybe even Inhumans.

You fear the notion of comics intended for children?

We've seen it before, but it's still a great idea. Hopefully this will attract some young readers, and it might even be something for those who want to read new adventures with a classic, Peter Parker Spidey.

A simpler, more likable Spider-Man to take the place of the one they messed up in Ultimate. What a concept, eh?

While I've grown fonder of Spider-Gwen and Silk, I'll always have a place for Peter Parker that isn't a massive tool so I'm glad there's something like this out there. It'll be a nice complement to the upcoming Spider-Man movie.

Yeah, sometimes I wish they had kept up with the Ultimate Universe and would have let Peter Parker be the Spider-Man there. I would have a much easier time if Peter retired in the "original" universe and let Miles Morales take over there.
