No, but it makes it easier given that a writer is far less likely to run into any continuity issues or fans wishing that the character was being written differently.
Cc kept sage blank for a reason even look at graphic novel new mutants there's hints about Tessa there....cc was about the long game
Someone remind me where the Welsh/Greek thing came from?
And yeah... Sage in 2015, please!

The Welsh/Greek heritage means we have a real life equivalent!

Sage and Bishop was an awesome duo in X-treme X-men.
I loved that book, With also a great Grambit.
Too bad we haven't seen Sage in while...I'm such a fan!
Considering any character can pop back up at any given time (see Marrow), I have my fingers crossed Sage makes a come back in some X-Book after SW!
What do you guys think are the chances?

I miss her being Dazzler's handler. Their friendship is an interesting dynamic.
I miss her duo with Bishop, it had a Mulder and Scully vibe to it!
Srsly, she has meaningful connections with Storm, Psylocke, Dazzler, Bishop, Emma, Juggernaut, Gambit, Rogue, Cannonball, Magma, Sunspot, Nocturne, Captain Britain, and of course the now amnesiac Sebastian Shaw. Humphries dropped the ball of lifting his mediocre Uncanny X-Force by not including her, since she was connected to most of the characters anyway.
Wish we had gotten a Secret Wars book about Sage and Bishop as mutant detectives in Mutant Town as a callback to the Xtreme era.

With the all of her ugly step sisters being promoted in T&A-Force, will Sage ever make it to the ball and meet the mass market exposure our comics have all dreamed of? Remember our strong mutant sisters being hidden in closets to make the Avenger women look good right now.
