I just tried to reach Greg Pak on tweeter and asked him about the possibility of Sage appearing in Weapon X. I saw another user asking the same.
It would be nice if us Sage fans took this opportunity to show him our appreciation for the character, since this is the closest we've come in years to having her back in some book, considering Pak was the only writer who cared to bring her back from limbo in 2012.
Just realized, thanks to that CBR article (X-Tinction Watch), that among all the major x-characters, Sage is the one who's been missing the longest...well, it was originally Warpath, but since he is confirmed for Weapon X, that's no longer the case. This is so disheartening for a Sage fan! Hopefully Greg Park saves her once again.
Here's a breakdown of how long major characters have been missing:
CHAMBER – two years and four months
HUSK – IDEM
BANSHEE – two years and a half
BISHOP – two years and ten months
SYRIN - three years
LAYLA – IDEM
SHATTERSTAR – three years and four months
RICTOR – IDEM
RHANE – three years and five months
SAGE - three years and seven months
Shortpack, the Professor's other secret pupil, been missing since April 2005. but yes to Sage appearing in X-Force (or as part of the new Hellfire Club).
I'd read a book about that line-up. Maybe skip the top two and Layla, to bring it down to a more manageable number, but it could be a funky sort of X-Factor reunion, with a dash of Bishop, Sage and Banshee. Banshee and Siryn on the same team could be cool. Northstar and Aurora aside, or DC and their Green Lanterns, comic teams tend to avoid having two members with the same power set.
I wish Sage was part of Astonishing instead of Mystique
I could definitely see a romance between Beast and Sage. Anyone else?
