UXF was probably the single best X-story after the Claremont heydays. Plus it introduced me to Jerome Opeña's art, which now that I mentioned it, what is he working on now. Have not seen any regular work since the launch of Now Avengers

That was a "draw" for me too and really made Opena a "go to" artist for me on a title. I will pick up single issues if he draws them now. Even when it went more traditional with Brooks I appreciated that he makes his women a little thicker but they are still, for the most part, proportioned well. There was a little of the art I felt iffy toward but it was more near the final issues of the run.
The UA had a wonky start with the art from Cassady which was not his best effort (IMO) and has steadily improved. McNiven brought it home in his issues, which was a pleasant surprise. Acuna is a hit or miss artist but I feel he has done justice to the title as he has went forward.

Uncanny X-Force was a great run. I loved it. I hate that the Uncanny Avengers has X-Force story lines. But Remender had a hard on for the Avengers so he took those story lines over.
I still love his run. Marvel made a mistake of giving Humphries the next volume.

Uncanny X-Force will be one of my favorite runs in all of X-Men history. He took an overused concept and not only made it fresh, but he added new layers to it. He also created new villains and gave old characters new layers. The art was also fantastic throughout. I am definitely buying the omnibus in July.

Ah, so his political philosophies are more in line with Alan Moore's. He's also an anarchist. Nice. Now I want to read Black Science! That seems like it would be a really groovy read!

Perhaps, but I think his Marvel work is better off without Cable stealing the page time. I think it was a bold and ballsy move on Remender's part.

I love Uncanny X-Force until the Otherworld arc.
I liked the Otherworld arc. It was a throw back to classic British X-Men stories such as Excalibur, Captain Britain, and mixed in with some 1980s Outback X-Men.

Umm... Could you not point out the one example of minorities oppressing majorities when 99% of human history has been majorities oppressing minorities?
There are many others, it's not uncommon in the least. Invoking Godwin's Law, The Nationalist Socialist German's Worker Party, a.k.a. The Nazis, were a minority that used propaganda and promises to come into power. Same with the US's Founding Fathers; they were a minority that forced a confrontation with the British Monarchy while the majority of the Colonies accepted British rule. Then they threw out the Articles of Confederation in what was essentially a bloodless, political coup by writing The Constitution to replace the Articles of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation gave individual states almost full sovereignty and without any centralization the economy was in shambles and there was no cohesion between states.

    Best run since Morrison.

Same here. Everything and everybody felt vital to the story. And some brilliant artwork as well. The last scene of Psylocke and Archangel was profound and heartbreaking. Wade was brilliant in it as well.

It had some really good moments, and the first arc was really great.
It also greatly benefitted from his artists, Opena, Noto, Tocchini and especially Dean White were wonderful.
Still it lost a lot of steam for me in the end. The last arc bored me and made me cringe from the Brotherhood mischaracterization.

I thought the opening 18 issues of UXF were the best work on the X-books since Morrison's (divisive) NXM and Milligan's X-Force run.

The following arcs were a bit disappointing, and I dropped Uncanny Avengers pretty early on.

That said - I'm loving his Deadly Class book from Image right now. A welcome return to form.

I was reluctant to drop Uncanny Avengers when I did.. because I knew it would eventually take threads from UXF.. but I the delays and Cassady's art killed any excitement I had for it.

I just looked up an omnibus edition on Amazon so there's one already released. Think I might pick it up!

I've never read any of Remender's Uncanny X-Force, apart from a single issue of the Dark Angel Saga, it had badass telepathic Psylocke moments. I was wondering if use whole run has loads of great Psylocke moments and action as I'm a big Betsy fan.

She's heavily involved throughout the entirety of the series.

Psylocke certainly was the start during Remender's run. Really did a lot of good things for her and was spot on with his characterization as well.

Only Spurrier rivals him in terms of writing Psylocke.
