    Default Egyptian Wonder Woman Idea

What if, instead of Themyscira, and the Greek Gods, it is Bana-Mighdahl, a secret technologically advanced Ancient Egyptian city on the Nile, blessed by Isis, who truly rules the Gods while Osiris runs the underworld, Horus continually fights evil, and Ra protects the world in an endless battle against Apophis.. This Diana is the child of the pharaoh (Lets make the pharaoh a woman) made, and born from the clay of the Nile. Steve Trevor plane crashed near the city whine on a intelligence mission. Egyptian Diana (Nubia?) still nursed him back to health, they still a competition, which she enters and wins, and goes to America with Trevor, and becomes Wonder Woman.

    Some random ideas:

-Set takes the place of Ares, and Nepthtys takes the place of Circe

-Thoth, or maybe Maat, takes the place of Athena, Hathor takes the place of Aphrodite, and Isis takes the place of Hera

-Set support villains like Black Adam, to the Joker.

-Thanks to Set, and Nephthys, Heracles and his men still rule Themyscira.

-Nubia is also one that is more willing to kill her foes. She also greatly dislikes Muslims Jews and Christians due to Egypt past.

-Horus has done team ups with Batman, Green Arrow, and Shazam.

-The Greek gods are not very strong, due to weakening themselves over the Trojan War and the foundation of Themyscira. The Egyptian Gods gave the amazons refuge, and that led to the birth of Bana-Mighdahl. (Though they have both genders)

    -Ptah helped make Nubia weapons.

-Nubia got training from Ra, Anubis, Sekhmet, Sobek, Thoth, Heka, Hathor, Isis, Serket, Bastet, and Horus.

Any thoughts or ideas of your own?

There's already an Egyptian inspired heroine that's called Isis, I don't think it would be useful to do that.

I like the idea of a secret Ancient Egyptian city. My idea would be to put the secret Ancient Egyptian City on the Moon and do a Sci-Fi take on Wonder Woman. With Wonder Woman representing a Moon Deity she would make a good compliment to Superman. During Ancient times in Egypt the Moon and the Sun was often paired together.

The moon and the sun were commonly referred to by the ancient Egyptians as "the two lights", and the weaker light of the Moon is compared to the evening Sun. Most frequently, the ancient Egyptians interpreted these two lights as the eyes of Re, or of the sky god Horus, whose left eye was the Moon and whose right eye was the sun. The left eye was weaker because it had been damaged, according to myth. This myth was elaborated upon in various cult centers, giving rise to special forms of Horus such as Khenty-Khety of Letopolis and the later Hor-Merty of Horbeit (in the Delta).

It was either Rucka or Jimenez who had some of the Egyptian goddesses hang out with the Greek goddesses for part of an arc when the something was going down with the Themysciran and Bana-Mighdal on the island. It was fun to see the two groups essentially join to bless both cultures on the island.

Your idea might be good as part of a revamp for a character like Osira. It'll be interesting to how/if Isis is related to the Egyptian gods when she's reintroduced, considering Shazam/The Circle of Eternity are all about magic now and not bestowing gifts from specific gods.

i love the idea, but they already have Isis as a character, even though they are not using her. You can use this a her origin story or a new wonder woman.

I love the idea of WW from different cultures. Id love to see an Indian/Hindu Wonder Woman. Perhaps based off of or similar to Durga.

This is a good Elseworld's type idea.

Wonder Woman born in the violent Bana-Mighdall society rather than in Themyscira. Yet she is still a beacon of hope and wonder for everyone.

Of course, it would be Nubia instead of Diana. But it would still be a pretty awesome concept.

It's fine as an elseworlds kind of thing, if a bit unimaginative I am sorry to say (you have just taken out everything Greek and replaced it with Egyptian).

But this could be perfectly fine if we are dealing with the 'race-bent' Earth Morrison created where just about every caucasian hero were black instead.
