She-Hulk was inspired by a sketch in the Benny Hill Show! It was shown in the late 70s, when the tv series "The Incredible Hulk" was showing on British TV. In the sketch, a girl standing at a bus stop was assaulted by a gang of "gropers"; she responded by "Hulking out", turning green and clobbering the gropers.

Yep, the former is the premise of the story unless I'm mistaken.

Also, Jen doesn't appear in the preview of next week's Hulk #13 (but who knows if she appears in the cliffhanger last page) but she does get a mention.

It's been homaged a few times, like all new Savage She-Hulk for example but you also got to remember that the original cover is a homage to the first issue to the Incredible Hulk.
