Well, Gordon will be the Batman here instead of Bruce, but I think Tomasi will still do some good character work with Gordon and provide some neat dynamics between him and the rest of the League .

I guess this new direction isn't really appropriate for a book titled Detective Comics, unless we're going for the angle that Gordon's a normal guy in a robot Bat-suit with a detective/police background put into a team of people who are practically Gods and that perspective coloring how he reacts.

I just think it's cool to see more is being done with Gordon as Batman by having him interact with the greater DCU .

What! You're kidding? Well thanks for the tip, I won't be buying the book after all. I have no interest in reading about anyone as Batman but Bruce Wayne.
