I liked it and he deserved it. Once he stopped being Jack O'Lantern, a costume and character I really liked, he was dead to me already.

I wholeheartedly agree! I was psyched to see the real Hobgoblin back! Oh, and today Comixology release some of Roger Stern's Amazing Spider-Man issues, I think including Hobbies first appearance.
