Rogue, The High Flying Avenger! Rogue and The Unity Team Appreciation!

I think the reason for her complete disappearance is the fact that she has always been exclusively an X-character, and since those writers can't or didn't want to use her
during this story, there was nowhere else to go. What I mean is, who would think of using Rogue as a guest when she traditionally has been off in her own world with the
X-Men? If this Avengers thing lasts, and especially if she ever makes it to the main book, there is a good chance of her popping up a lot more. In the past, at least, the
Avengers or some of their members frequently appeared in other books. I don't think Rogue ever did a Marvel Team-Up even. Am I right? That would be crazy. Everybody
was in Marvel Team-Up, even Aunt May. But I don't think Rogue ever was. She really needs to keep this Avengers gig.

Rogue was in X-Men by Brian Wood when Remender killed her off. :-(

I was hoping the move to the Avengers would help bring her a higher profile in the MU, but so far it has been to prop up SW a bigger part of the MU. :-/

As part of the UA team she was shown in Cable and X-Force and in Avengers AI.

What is unfortunate is that her death caused her to not appear in any books at all whereas she was on the cast of X-Men. Cap was killed yet he still is in Avengers but Rogue had to vanish out of X-Men?

I guess she is not in other books, so her death would have "weight", yeah right, no one takes seriously a comic book death since a really long time.

Really I believe 9 out of 10 Chance this "Disappearance" of Rouge was done by Marvel to Prop-Up the UA Story and its impact, but IMO that really feel on death's ears if you have other like Thor and Capt and Logan in other books. Sure, they can be and most likely where stories that happen before UA, but when UA became an alternate future story, short of like a new Version of Days of Futures Past, then really the feeling the Deaths where suppose to stick just did not work, Rogue's Comeback was in time.

Keeping her out of other Books like other X-Books was IMO Overly Unnecessary. In the end I like to see Rogue Again in at least 1-2 X-Books at the least and both UA and another Avengers Book, Indeed she brings allot to the Avengers Ranks Indeed and this indeed should be shown in a Great Light once RR's Twin's Arc is done.

Popularity-wise, Carol owes Rogue a few things too. I don't think Carol would be where she is today without Rogue stealing her powers.

I don't agree! I think Carol owes more to Tony Stark. After all, he was the one who weaned of the bottle...

Lets keep it good vibes. Pretty Carol pics should be in the Carol thread. She is great but Rogue is the star here.

Rogue is AWESOME and hope she gets fair treatment as an Avenger. It's the only place for her now. She isn't anywhere else and some of us are really sad for the serious lack of Rogue stories being told right now.

Also Rogue totes deserves her own solo series again. She has the fans to sell it at least better than other current solos going on right now. Marvel is just not tapping into cash potential from the crushed hearts of Rogue fans.

The only way I would support a Rogue solo is if she developed her own offensive powers/abilities. Kind of hard being a solo player when you have to depend on others powers. This is what I disliked about the "post control" Legacy: it seemed everyone else in the group existed only for Rogue to "mooch" off of. If Rogue had her own offensive powers/abilities, she would have to be so dependent on others, and could act more independently.

I don't think her powerset is a requirement for her series. Her ability is to steal powers and that is awesome. I don't want writers to shy away from her using that ability and testing what she can do with that. There are more ways for her to be effective rather than simply powering up from friends before a fight. She used to steal powers from villains in a fight and that was always fun.

I wonder if Axis happens before the death of Wolverine? I mean Rogue is using his powers in that shot. If this happens AFTER his death then ( Hopeful wishing here) maybe she is learning to recall powers formerly absorbed.

The cover could have been something cool, but Renaud has obsession for Wanda, so Rogue was background noise in UA again.

At this point, unless Rogue gets more time with the main Avengers, I don't see Avenger fans embracing her. Remender has done the Southern Belle wrong.
