I think he had some of the longest runs ever as an artist. I'd put his Avengers at the top, then Conan and I really dug his wolverine.

His Conan work is my favorite stuff, particularly Conan the Reaver and most of his Savage Sword stories (depending on the inker). He's also the Avengers penciller in my mind, although more for his pairing with Tom Palmer in the '80s than the earlier stuff. I tended to like anything Big John did, though. He was so prolific, however, that the inking often made or broke his pencils.
I love his run on Thor leading up to #300!
Black & White Conan, the Avengers, Sub-mariner, Silver Surfer. The one time I thought he DIDN'T shine, and I really expected him to, was when Marvel got the rights for Tarzan. I expected a definitive version from Buscema, much like I saw from Joe Kuberts version for DC. It was the total opposite!
His Silver Surfer run with Stan is fun

Looks like I'll have to move past gameplay footage
I love pretty much everything he did, but my favorite is the Marvel Comics Super Special (1977 Magazine) #11/12/13
His Silver Surfer run is some of his best artwork.

The Avengers and Savage She_Hulk.
Unbiasdly, I'd have to go with Conan as the work that most defined him. However, I'm a Huge Avengers fan, and Big Johns early work with them alongside Roy Thomas is simply breathtaking and ahead of its time, so, I'll cast my vote for that. His 80's work on the tile with Tom Palmer is also excelent, however, IMHO, not as revolutionary as his early work. Still, I think of Avengers, I think of John Buscema.
Peace
I loved his Fantastic Four run from about 111- 130's or so.
I've had the How To Draw The Marvel Way book by Stan Lee & John Buscema for some years that I've just the past few months been getting into John's Conan run, man now I see why he was referred to as the Michelangelo of comics, he's incredibly good and with the right inkers like Alfredo Alcala and Ernie Chan they just enhance the grittyness of his artwork.
Also read that he disliked working on superheroes especially team books and you can see that in his work, his best work appears when he's doing Conan.
I love pretty much any John Buscema book. I don't know if it's his best stuff, but I have a soft spot for those early Wolverine issues he drew.
His Avengers with Tom Palmer and his Conan with Ernie Chan are pretty much unmatched. I liked everything he ever drew. His FF, Wolverine, and Silver Surfer were also stellar work.
