Unfortunately, the story contradicts Runaways, Loners, and Avengers Academy, by deaging Julie by two years (to 16 - she should be 18 as she was referred to as 17 in Loners and Alex was referred to as 19 in FF, and the eight month post-Secret Wars timeskip means she probably had a birthday since then) and removing her character development. No mention of her being lesbian or dating Karolina Dean.

Yeah, I was getting the feeling that part of PP story was more based on the "All-Age" POWER PACK (Mini-)Series rather than the Original PP Series.

I think her telling Jack she could give him tips for picking up girls was meant to be a nod to her sexuality...

To make things clear, Julie Power isn't a lesbian/homosexual, she's pansexual and in a lesbian relationship.

Excellent points there.....and IMHO, if the PP story wasn't scripted for just a few pages (instead of maybe half to a full issue/One shot); chances are that the tale would've focused more on some of the other situations that the Second Civil War caused and what's been going on with Julie, Jack and Katie prior to/ post-SECRET WARS.

Rage wasn't as involved as I wanted him to be. He basically got told to sit down because he was making matters worse. I'm not sure how accurate Elvin is as a black lives matter stand-in. But he's, at least, appearing. Sam should have gotten Thrasher involved. But who knows what side Dwayne would have been on?

I'm partial to Sphinx (or training-wheels-Kang as I like to call him/her)

Sphinx is a major villain with serious reality warping powers. I know he was the arch enemy of the NW, but he's powerful enough to be a big bad to the Avengers.

Didn't he start out fighting Nova? The battle against GALACTUS, in the pages of FF was the culmination of storylines that transfered over from Nova (Marv Wolfman wrote both mags). All in all, I'd say the Sphinx is pretty legit (and I prefer the female one, although the male does seem physically more imposing).

Speaking of She-Sphinx. What happened to her? Last I remember she merged with the male Sphinx, the became sort of good guys with an almost Immortus sort of role protecting the timeline. Roll forward a few years male Sphinx is back in Nova with 2 KA stones and he is eating himself.

Did I miss something? Did something happen inbetween the Immortus Sphinx and when Sphinx ate himself?

The Folding Circle, right? i never got into them. i liked some of Psionex. the Forces of Nature were really random. i happened to read their introduction last night. Aireo/Skybreaker was a real bigot. i wonder if the Inhumans ever took him back.

Re read 1-50 of vol 1, what a great team.

Really hope we get another volume soon with Night Thrasher and Rich back, Nova might get a big push though and send him to the Guardians or Avengers.
