Would you fight crime if you had superpowers?

Interesting question. And lots of interesting feedback, I suppose the question I should've asked is: what kind of superpowers would it take to get you to fight crime?

Super-speed.
Either that or having complete control over time (like speed it, slow it, bend it or freeze it completely).

One question that comes to my mind for those who want to be full time crime fighters, how would you make a living? If you powers don't include creating your own food and house and everything else?

I'm hoping the community would support me because I'd be saving their lives.

I do think it depends on the powers. If your power set included some degree of invulnerability, then there would be less risk in going out to fight crime. It would be cool to be a super hero and powers could do a lot of good.

I would think in areas most at risk where crime is highest.

Join a police department using powers on suspects so I wouldn't have to use the gun. Also I could avoid Using vigilante justice. This would lead to me having to write it in report writing but hey better being a police officer writing it in report paper than being hunted by them for using super powers as a vigilante.
If not join a neighborhood watch group and use a citizens arrest if needed.

Optic blasts, energy blasts, energy bolts, energy darts, manipulation of energy for offensive weapons, psionic blasts, telekinesis, energy short mallets, energy spikes, avalanches whether water, fire, light etc etc these are powers that would be effective.

Join the army, marines, navy, or Air Force.
A dream come true for military but would be at risk for al queada, Taliban and other terrorist organizations, drug cartels, and others wanting to kidnap,,use you, or clone your DNA.
