I looked for two solid hours today. That's way more effort than I want to put in for this contest.

It was tough. I looked for a long time for an Archie book with a slap on the cover. No dice, I guess that's too violent, although there is plenty of cartoon brutality inside older Archies. I read a story once where the entire plot was setups for Archie accidentally kicking Veronica in the ass as hard as he could, twice.

Fortunately, although Archie let me down I remembered good old pre-Code crime comic misogyny. Looking at some of these covers, the lady with the simultaneous slap and drink thrown in her face got off light.

I also looked but couldn't find any covers. As for interior violence in Archie comics, nothing beats the decades of beatdowns Reggie suffered at the hands of Big Moose for moving in on Midge whom I've always thought was a skank for inviting such advances in the first place.
