He is by far the most overrated character in the DC comics, Batmans cartoons, movies, and comics get the most attention. It's like DC comics & Warner Bros only use batman to make money. It's like Batman is DC comics mascot these days.

He is by far the most correctly rated character in DC comics. DC is a Business and Batman is to DC Comics as Spiderman is to Marvel and both get all the attention that they deserve. If someone does not get attention then either a good story has not been told yet to attract attention or they just don't appeal to anyone. If DC comics operated the way you view things then Dick Grayson would have died in Infinite Crisis but he himself is too big to be killed off and no longer have his own solo comic. The hate for Batman getting attention or the Batgod stuff fails to realize that Batman has earned by continuously putting out classic stuff. Blame the writers for not being able to have as many good stories for other characters outside the Batworld.
Batman is not overrated to Batman fans (and even some non-fans surely). And he's not the ONLY money maker, just their biggest one...his extended mythos generates money.

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft
Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
Posts like this never make sense to me. WB/DC is in the business of making money. I'm sure that if there was huge demand for Capt. Carrot you would be making the same complaint. How many characters have been popular enough to have continuous stories published about them for 75 years, carry several TV shows, several animated shows, almost 10 movies now, etc... Arguably, Batman has made more money for its IP holders than any fictional character ever. All of that can't simply be because DC is shoving him down our throats. I went to a bday party for 4 year old twins this weekend and they had 3 live action characters for the kids there - Batman, Spider-Man and Elsa from Frozen - and so it will go for the next 75 years

I think continuously adding powers to Superman or focusing too much on his powers has taken soooooo much away from Superman. The most notable stories since the New 52 are Doomed and Truth and both does stories focus too heavily on his powers or his secret identity. I would like to see a book dedicated to a social crusaders Superman with only his Golden Age powers and absolutely no kryptonite.
1- DC = Detective Comics. They are literally named for Batman, that's ultimate level mascotting.
2- Companies are in the business of making money. They might have different ways of achieving it, but at the end of the day, the goal is profit. If something is bringing it in, they're not going to sit on it, they're going to do everything they can to wring every cent they can out of it.

In the past Superman had more attention.
TV shows: Live Action.
Adventures of Superman.
Superboy.
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
Smallville.
TV Shows: Cartoons.
Superman (Fleischer cartoons).
The New Adventures of Superman.
Superman (1988 Ruby-Spears Cartoon).
Superman: The Animated Series.
Movies.
Superman and the Mole Men.
Superman (movie serials of 1948).
Atom Man vs. Superman (1950 movie serials)
Superman (1978).
Superman II.
Superman III.
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.
Superman Returns.
Man of Steel (Sadly this movie did nothing new for Superman and was a big letdown sinse people wanted Batman instead).
Superman had so much more respect in the past. These days people just want Batman.
Its funny how Marvel fans don't complain about the abundance of Spider-man everywhere.
Granted Spider-man was created in the 60s and was always at the top whereas Batman has sort of usurped that position from Superman since the 80s.
In any case people surely do hate him more than people hate Spider-man
Superman can still get back to where he was but that is going to take making Metropolis as attractive as Gotham. Poison Ivy is getting a miniseries, Harley is a huge hit, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon and Damian Wayne all have books that sell as well or better than Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern. The Superman Family and Rogues need to be fleshed out more beyond Lex Luthor.
