Monet St Croix (M) Appreciation Thread

Monet is brown skinned with long straigh black hair. Kind of Indian skin colour. I LOVE ALL ABOUT HER! Since X-Factor she's growing and now X-Men is her HIGHLIGHT! Her chance to come back to the A listers!

She used most of her powers during X-Factor, many times. Most recently, in X-Men she used alsmot all of them. She's sooo versatile! <3

Agreed, she is right about there, though when you see Omega Sentinel and her side-by-side, the difference is obvious.



...Well, maybe not obvious, but I appreciate the artists trying to show differences.

Monet is definitely one of my favorite of the X-Women. I do wish they would give her a better uniform though. Her X-Factor suit was just about perfect, but this current one is just ugly.

Perhaps we need an M mini series to straighten out her family situation?

Im really into her X-Men outfit. Really love it. Probably her coolest, since her X-Factor one (which i also loved).

She is shinning and is amazing to see people posting ans showing love for Monet! She better stick to the X-Men!

That's the Algerian citizenship, according to the comics. Why, is it a separate thing in real life? Maybe the Marvel Algeria has a different ruling/political structure.

No I meant Monaco. The sovereign city-state along the French Riviera that Cartier St. Croix was an Ambassador to. I believe he bought them citizenship. I am not sure what your talking about. Algeria was M's mothers country.

Monet was born in Bosnia. She has also Algerian and French citizenships.

That "official" page says France even though Cartier St. Croix is from Monaco a sovereign city state that is located near France. Which I guess is the same?

I Don't like generalizing when it comes to Monaco vs France. Monaco is where Bond Never Say Never Again was filmed. At the Monte Carlo Casino. Monaco is where the Grand Prix is held. It is a beautiful Principality that shouldn't be lumped in with ugly old France.

M has only recently gotten on my radar, in Wood's X-Men run. I like her, and it's fun that she's such a powerhouse and across such a broad spectrum of talents.

Whenever I see Hannah Simone, I think they should cast her as Monet.



However, in reading this discussion it sounds like Simone may be too mixed-towards-white rather than mixed-towards-black. I dunno, she looks the way I see her drawn.

Well, I think I've been under the impression all this time that Monaco is within Algeria, lol, due to something I looked up on the Internet more than ten years ago.



I guess not, though! So I guess the French citizenship is Monaco, lol... I'm the only one who fails at geography more than Marvel.

Yeah, maybe a bit too mixed-towards-white, but hey, I just want to see Monet respectably portrayed on the big screen! Or the small screen! Lol. Sad to see her excluded like this.

Me too!!! Wanna see her! She aint excluded no more. She's had a very big role in X-Factor and now even bigger, in X-Men! She's finally getting the spotlight, she deserves!
