X+X: Missed Opportunities Between Teammates

That X-23 didn't end up back at the JGS with Wolverine. After all, when last seen in Avengers Arena, Logan himself personally had her loaded on the medevac chopper.

We STILL don't know how she ended up being captured and tortured by Purifiers in Miami instead, with Logan not even stopping to ask, "Hey, where'd Laura go NOW?" You'd think after the last time he brushed off her disappearing, he'd have been a bit more diligent. So not only a missed opportunity but a plot hole big enough to march Galactus through.

-Her past mentoring of M

-Actual redemption
-Hate-banter with Emma and Cyke and everyone else
-Comparison to Dark Phoenix Cyclops (accept she was actually at fault)

-She is in-love with Scott, which = auto-rivalry with Emma (steel-hard skin vs Diamond skin)
-Former acolyte

Bisop
-He killed Xavier too, ya know
-Banter with Scott

-doesn't need a reason to be on this team

Having X-23 in the school but with the bOre5 would've been icing in this case as both Wolverine's "offspring" would be teamed with Cyke rather than him.

Cyclops, Rachel Grey so they can try to bond and throw Ruby Summers in there so she can add some extra drama. Magik, Namor and Frenzy so she can get weird around Cyke.

Gambit and Longshot, mentioned above by darkgreed, would also be an interesting team up. Longshot's naïve innocence, matched with Gambit's bad-buy worldliness, could be a fun mix, since they are so similar (with their acrobatic fighting styles) in one respect, and so utterly different in personality.

You mean Longshot and his substitute ;P .

Also I know Nightcrawler and Psylocke were on a team together for a little while, but I just felt their pairing could have been so much more than it was.

I think they might catch very well in many senses. It's a pairing with a lot of fans.

What about Nightcrawler and Rogue? They are technically siblings through Mystique, but I don't think anything has been done with this.

With Nightcrawler's charming, humourous swashbuckler attitude and Rogue's sassy fun loving outlook there could be some sweet and charming interactions there.

I strongly love both of them, and it's very upsetting that their only storylines together are 'X-Men: Forever' and that awful 'X-Men: Unlimited' #4. I really believe their personalities should get along well and have so much fun! Have you ever noticed that, in nearly non-stop 5 years of UXM, they hardly have got a scene together? I simply can't understand why. I only can remember these two:

I always thought that Betsy and Emma could provide some great catiness in the same room. There is a possibility for a long standing friendship or an old money new money grudge. They have a lot to compete with each other about.

Gambit and Cyclops.

One's the smooth talking ladies man/gentleman thief. The other is the oblivious but stalwart soldier/leader. Together weird crap happens to them as they rescue Mutants and try to survive a world that hates and fears them.

Bonus points for every time Cyke's clothing is torn or when Gambit speaks Mon Dieu.

Callisto and Magneto is afar fetched dream. When they were on Excalibur the Genosha version. I felt that the way they both think is kind of in alignment of each other. I could see them going the crzy ass distance. That would be like a house of cards pairing.
