Will there ever be a Hellboy 3 movie?

I loved Guillermo Del Toro's translation of the comic to the big screen. I thought the sequel wasn't quite as good as the first movie but, I would still love to see a third installment. Does anyone know if their are any plans to make a third movie?

The studio that owns the rights to future Hellboy films has no interest in making them. Until that changes, or the rights expire, there will be no more Hellboy films, regardless of Del Toro's wish to make a trilogy.

I'd love a third, bu it seems doubtful at this point as Middenway explained.

Oh well. Too bad. I guess I'll have to settle for more Marvel comic book movies instead.
