Thompson, Bradshaw's All-Ages "Spidey" Series Sends Peter Parker Back to School

One likely factor for going back to first principles is the upcoming film appearances. The Peter of the main comics is in a different place, literally, chronologically and metaphorically.

To do a degree, it is. But Marvel still has reasons for doing it now, and trying it with a top creative team.

If the new creative team is able to include non spider-man created characters into his supporting cast and rogue galleries, it might be a fun series. Otherwise, to have the same cast of characters that are simply Spider-Man created instead of the use of bringing forth other characters from parts of the Marvel Universe into Spider-Man's world. Marvel Adventures did make an attempt to bring in a few non spider-man created characters.

This should be out of continuity. Free up the writers to do whatever they want.

I agree. Just good clean Spidey fun; And if anything good sticks they can always introduce it to the main comics.

I think that the series could work if they are willing to put The Black Widow into the series as Peter's possible mentor as well as Dr. Bruce Banner as his Science Teacher. In addition, it would be cool to see Dr. Donald Blake(aka Thor) as one of the few people who is Peter's Doctor who he can come to for advice on any subject matter relating to his physical health.
