What the optimal age for an amazon to become an amazon?

In one of the very old WW comics issues. The woman on the island take there oath to the goddess, get there bracelets, & drink the immortal fountain water at age 19. I don't think that the proper age for any woman to become immortal. Even back than.

With the advances in modern society. What age do you think they would give them all that stuff now a days on the island?

I see that happen around age 27 now a days.

Interesting question. Not sure there really is an "optimal age."

I like the idea in Sensation Comics that they get their bracelets in stages. I also like the idea that it's merit based, rather than based on age. It was good fun watching a young Diana try to sneak attack her mother.

Somewhere between 18-29 I'd say, since I assume the Amazons prefer women in their prime and still mallable enough for them to fit into their society.
