Why didn't Marvel push Monica Rambeau as Captain Marvel

She did get a big push when Stern was writing Avengers but then it all went away pretty quickly.

I don't understand holding on to "Captain Marvel." It hasn't been her name in over 20 years and is likely never returning due to Carol's spotlight and the MCU.

Spectrum is her's alone, the originator and so much more fitting considering her powers. It's pretty much perfect and waaaay preferable to a legacy title.


Now just give her the much overdue solo series.

I don't suppose anyone else would be supportive of letting Monica's sense of humor, as portrayed in the classic NEXT WAVE! series, suggest to her and then have her foist upon the waiting world the sobriquet:

MARVELOUS! With the exclam. Naturally.

CAPTAIN MARVELOUS! of NEXT WAVE, also the Avengers and So On.

Can people that like carol stop saying things about monica like Carol is the reason shes getting noticed again and other faceious crap like that. Monica is getting noticed because shes getting used consistently again for the first time in 20 years.
