Here is yet another cast of DC characters standing in for Marvel's cosmic Ultimates team. Since Marvel hasn't really done anything with Ultra Force, we'll give the team that name.
DC's ULTRA FORCE
Captain Marvel - Starfire (Full disclosure, I loved Starfire from the very start. One way or another she was going to make this team. Yes, I play favorites...but this time Kori is also the perfect fit. )
Black Panther - Bronze Tiger (One of the best martial artists in any universe.)
Blue Marvel - Steel (John and his armor have received various power-ups/downs over the years, so it's not hard to imagine him in this role. He's definitely enjoyed more fan appreciation and company support than Blue Marvel ever has/will. Captain Atom and Dr. Manhattan were also considerations for this spot.)
Spectrum - Jade (Arisia the Green Lantern and Dr. Light were close options)
Miss America Chavez - Power Girl (Slight nod over Maxima due to her tremendous popularity.)
A Planetary style team and premise, as Bobby Drake’s contacted by an unseen benefactor and tasked w. solving the mystery of how mutants -really- fit into the grand scheme of things. Bobby recruits Cypher and Frenzy, and the three quietly go off the grid. Expect the trio to revisit some of the Marvel’s most pivotal mutant moments, crossover into some well known future timelines, and maybe even piss off The Celestials while they try and uncover the ultimate truth.
My priority is enjoying and supporting stories of timeless heroism and conflict.
Everything else is irrelevant.
Ambrose is fairly unique... has an awesome set of powers:

I'd hate to just throw bishop on there, but its tough to find anyone who's doing anything like ambrose using guns.
Maybe a wiser, better dressed, John Kestrel, could fit the bill.

Is Kestrel the same as John Wraith, the teleporter?
I felt Snow and The Drummer were hard to cast, really. His powers dont work quite like Iceman's, and he doesnt ice up. Its why i was happy to find a cool pic of Bobby in a trench! I figured Cypher was at least in the same ballpark as The Drummer...
Let’s see if I can cobble together a decent Justice League Bwa haw haw with Marvel folk
T’challa in for Batman
Monet in for Jon
Hulkling also in for Jon
Quasar in for Guy
Puck in for Oberon
Spider-Man in for Ted
Johnny Storm in for Booster
Reed in for Ralph
Black Widow in for Black Canary
Taskmaster for Mr Miracle
Thundra in for Barda
Carol Danvers in for Captain Marvel
I assume he means Marvel changing his sexuality because an alternate reality Jean Grey read a younger Bobby from an alternate reality's mind and deduced he was gay, so therefore Earth-616 Bobby must be too, even though he had an established 50 years of heterosexual relationships. The idea was stupid. Rather than create a new gay character to appeal to audiences (like they did when creating a Muslim character in Ms. Marvel) or promoting an existing gay character (like Northstar or Hulking), they decide to retcon a straight character. And immediately follow that up with his own ongoing series (which there was no demand for) by Sina Grace (who had only written a handful of comics prior). The whole thing was Marvel trying to show they were woke, rather than an honest attempt to reach out to different audiences or promote diversity in their books. There probably would have been less blow back if he was "revealed to be" bi, because that at least would have acknowledged his history of relationships with women.

Wanna make somethin' of it?
A Defenders team with Nightcrawler, Dr. Strange and Cloak and Dagger and TJ. Cant remember the other characters actually.
I did a version of Marvel’s ANNIHILATORS played for laughs in the DC build thread the other day, so wanted to try a Marvel version of DC’s JUSTICE LEAGUE ANTARCTICA played straight...:
