Default What are the essential Riddler stories?

Apart from Snyder's Zero Year, what are the best stories to read to get a real sense of The Riddler?

I like Detective Comics Annual #8 "Questions Multiply the Mystery" by Chuck Dixon and Kieron Dwyer quite a bit. It's basically a retelling of Riddler's origins and early crime career.

"Dark Knight, Dark City" by Peter Milligan and Kieron Dwyer from Batman #452-#454 is also really good. One of my favorite Batman stories in fact.

    Run, Riddler, Run is fantastic.

There was a brilliant Riddler/Two-Face trade put out around the time of Batman Forever with a lot of solid older stories. Gaiman's short Riddler comic is good, it's heartfelt and cute and all, even if Riddler - especially TV-flavored Riddler - is the wrong character for that kind of "more innocent times" nostalgia.
Patsy Walker on TV! Patsy Walker in new comics! Patsy Walker in your brain! And Jessica Jones is the new Nancy! (Oh, and read the Comics Cube.)

Hush and the aftermath that took place in either Detective Comics or Batman at the back of the War Game issues.

Never read Crime's Puzzle Contest - is it in a reprint anywhere?

Are there any good Riddler stories in the Batman Adventures? I could use some more Timm Ridler.

I have heard good things about King Tut's Tomb and Paul Dini's Detective run. In both cases he is working more with Batman than being the villain though.

    Yeah, what he said.

BATMAN ARCHIVES reprints stories from DETECTIVE COMICS, while BATMAN: DARK KNIGHT ARCHIVES reprints stories from BATMAN (it is a bit confusing). The Riddler appeared in DETECTIVE COMICS 140 and 142, originally, which is why those stories are reprinted in BATMAN ARCHIVES Vol. 7
