If it's supposed to be released in November next year, it's shocking it's not being filmed yet, if not over. Guess it's yet another movie to give 80 hours weeks to VFX people
This is a reddit rumor so it for a grain of salt. It could explain the movies production troubles
Marvel's Blade: Mahershala Ali Reportedly 'Very Frustrated With the Process'
The script allegedly contains just two action sequences.
Wow. Reading this (and the above about Dracula's daughter) I thought it was going to be basically Blade: Trinity Attempt #2. Instead it will be Blade: The Series Attempt #2.
I'm wondering if what will eventually happen...is the project cancelled altogether and Ali vacates the role over "creative differences" IE He'd like Blade to be the focus and kicking vampire azz in more than two action sequences.
What are the odds they'll make it more 70's horror Blade rather than 90's Wesley Snipes Blade? (it seems the whole thing's up in the air at this point)
Disney always trying to ice skate uphill.
"The Marvel EIC Chair has a certain curse that goes along with it: it tends to drive people insane, and ultimately, out of the business altogether. It is the notorious last stop for many staffers, as once you've sat in The Big Chair, your pariah status is usually locked in." Christopher Priest
As long as Mahershala is involved, I'm good. Hopefully the writer/director getting replaced is a good thing.

I'm intrigued if Marvel is going for an approach more like the 1970s version. That would seem to open them up to a lawsuit again, unless they are paying Wolfman this time.
Nah, I expect this will end up being yet another all action type of Blade.
Every day is a gift, not a given right.
So I guess Sam Raimi being selected the new director was just a rumor.
