I should have been clearer, it doesn't setup any of the upcoming movies. Though in fairness, I may be mistaken.

The series ends in 2017 or so. Upcoming as in King of the Monster / vs Kong or New Empire?
    Sounds perfect.

I’m sure there are folks who have done the work to see where Monarch supports, adds to, and contradicts the movies. It’s been too long for me to remember all the details. Apex having a base on Skull Island is a surprise to me. And the Hollow Earth/Axis Mundi reveals feel like a different interpretation.

I’d like to see Tim and Keiko make it into the movies, but being an Apple show, it might be too small to impact them.

Godzilla Minus One is getting a remastered Black & White release. Not sure why except nostalgia. I never like color movies with this done.

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    A tribute to Gojira (1954)?

Anyone know when the movie (either version) hits the streaming services?

I love it and it works well for a movie like Godzilla Minus One. Possibly one of the best Godzilla films ever made since the 80s series

Unfortunately, they will all lose to Napoleon. Because in the Academy's eyes, no visual effects heavy film will ever be better than a historical drama that uses VFX to generate historical backgrounds.

Maybe the Academy could be swayed by how Godzilla did it with a budget of $15 million. How's that possible, or do they report numbers differently over there?

I've been reading a lot of insider trades (HR/Vanity) that state this is why it's a contender with a decent chance to win.

You can do a lot when it's dark.

    *Scratches head*

The only scene with big G in the dark is his first one.

Actually, the director said he wished the budget was that much, so is even less than 15 million
