Kadokawa Pictures owns the rights to Gamera and Co., and apparently they're just not in the position of making big budget movies right now. It really sucks, because he's the one kaiju icon that hasn't been revived in this new era. Never say never, though: when Godzilla has a period of popularity it seems Gamera is always revived eventually.

Speaking of revivals, now that the rights issues have been sorted out for Ultraman, Tsuburaya is partnering with an American company to bring Ultraman to American and international audiences. The ultimate goal, besides the ancillary merchandise which is the lifeblood of Ultraman, seems to be an American TV series.

The character posters for the 4 monsters are all gorgeous. I love the idea of them promoting the individual monsters. Even if someone has never seen any of the old films they may go in with a favorite monster already because of the ads, and that's just cool.

The Netflix anime (based on the current Ultraman manga) isn't connected to this other deal. Hopefully they'll feed into an increased awareness of the character.

Rodan Looks WICKED, Love all the Details to his body with how his skin is Razor like and his Face is Incredibly well done giving allot more room for expressions from his face!

King Ghidorah is just Plain Sky Dragon Terrifying, the Way He Should be! I like the hollow look to his eyes like they are about to shot lighting as well!
