The Gryphon seems too reminiscent of Destoroyah's final form to me. I would rather they opt for a new design for the creature.

BTW: Hulu just added Destroy All Monsters and Godzilla vs. Megalon, both subbed and dubbed. And ... both are on the free section as well. With Plus, you get them with no adds.

I remember Godzilla vs. Megalon as the first or second Godzilla movie I ever saw (the second Mechagodzilla movie is the other candidate for first). And for a long time all I could remember is that Godzilla was bleeding in a couple of scenes until I looked the movie up a few years ago. Yes, somehow, I forgot Jet Jaguar's existence.
I just wish someone would get Godzilla 1985 a decent region 1 or 2 DVD/Blu-Ray release.
Didn't know there was a dedicated thread for Godzilla. Cool!
I've seen Mothra vs, 2015, the one with the aliens that put Godzilla in a bubble and Gidorah the Three-headed monster so far. I liked 2015 and Mothra vs. The other two were okay. Actually the alien one I thought was really dumb. And I wouldn't mind a redub of Mothta vs. that didn't constantly refer to him as "the thing."
What would you guys recommend as the best Mechagodzilla movie?
I'm partial to Terror of Mechagodzilla (available on Netlfix, Hulu free and Plus, and Amazon), Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and its sequel, Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. (both available on Crackle for free). I liked TOM so much because of Titanosaurus but I did enjoy the stories that the two modern films gave us, as well as the look of Mecha G.

He only has 5 films, so he's easy to track down and find good copies to watch.

Well, I think the original Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974) is unquestionably the best, but it's a really far-out slice of 1970s wackiness. If you're in for a slightly more serious take, than go with the 1993 version; probably the best of the '90s films. I find the two films from '02 and '03 pretty dull.

I'm trying to expand my Godzilla collection, so I'm asking for recommendations, especially from the hesei (sp?) and millennium series (I have to go over my showa collection later to see what I'm missing). Here's what I know I have off the top of my head (trying to spell names from memory):
Hesei
vs Biolante
vs Space Godzilla
vs Destroyah
The one with MechaGhidorah (can't remember title)
vs Mothra, Battle for the Earth (one with Battra)
Millennium
The one with Mothra and Ghidorah (and Ghidorah's a good guy!)
Against MechaGodzilla
Tokyo SOS
Final Wars
I believe that's all of the ones I have so far. What do you guys recommend getting next?
i desperately approve of the suit design being used, the gryphon im indifferent too.
terror of mechagodzilla unquestionably, the 74 is tons of fun, but terror's more serious tone was a huge + after the previous 5 hyper campy g films.
the 90s one is awesome also.
the 2 2000's films are good but stale, i need to re-watch them
