Might be getting the movie sooner now!
Y'know this is the one film I really want to see in the movies.

Since when is Kong over 1000' tall?

Damn, poor Kong. 400 feet tall and he still ends up in chains.

In Skull Island, Hank Marlow said that Kong was still growing and was basically just an adolescent. We saw that Skull Island itself is a major doorway to the hollow earth, so it’s probably bombarded with the crazy monster making radioactivity.

Not even reboot Kong can avoid getting chained up by humans.

We get our first glimpse of Kong’s ax weapon. Many are saying that the blade looks like it’s actually one of Godzilla’s dorsal spikes. Meaning it can probably deflect his atomic breath. So Kong’s intelligence and tool making ability evens the playing field.

The rumors are Kong gets chained by spoilers:
    Apex Cybernetics
end of spoilersoperating a cloned hybrid Titan (that ends up being spoilers:
    Mecha Ghidorah
end of spoilers) and they need to attract Godzilla to charge up spoilers:
    MechaGodzilla
end of spoilers but Kong uses spoilers:
the spine of a slain Mecha Gidorah to make an axe that absorbs energy
    end of spoilers.

    Kong gets there because spoilers:
he left Skull Island to hunt Godzilla after they use a semi-powered Orca MechaGodzilla to wreck havok and attract Titans that anger Kong. Godzilla shows up and destroys the island too while hunting for the Orca source and leaves when Warbat shows up and Kong kills that Titan. Apex pulls Mecha G out of the island because the hollow earth vents get wrecked for charging the Mecha by all the Titans going nuts on the island. The vents are how Kong grows so much bigger.
    end of spoilers.

    Then spoilers:
Godzilla wins round one and Apex hides the Orca powered MechaGodzila. So they lure them to Hong Kong and Kong almost kills Godzilla when Apex unloads a fully charged Mecha G on them both. But Godzilla and Kong see the Orca Mecha G as a major threat and team up to defeat it. Then the 2 leave in a truce.

The implication being that Kong was going to win round 2.
    end of spoilers.

If true, I think Kong is winning this thing.

how big is Kong on the battleship? How is he even captured at this point? If he's already Godzilla sized by the time this film begins, seems like he wouldn't even fit.

Well ... Godzilla is on the carrier, too.

It clearly is like the Argo ... a special carrier in this universe.

I'm curious to see how the hell they capture a 400 foot bi-pedal gorilla monster.

If Monarch or whoever now has the ability to capture one of the strongest monsters on the planet, they probably have the tech to build a gigantic ship.

As far as the fight goes, it looks like Kong has now reached tool making levels of intelligence, which makes up for his lack of atomic breath. He's not just picking up an object and using it as a club but actually putting two things together to create his axe. Kong has reached the Stone Age! Regarding brainpower and strategy there is no contest. a base instinct reptilian brain is far below an ape brain with the ability for cognitive thought. Though Kong has shown empathy for humans and other creatures, which could be used against him.

    DUDE!

That is probably a decent idea on how they got him.

    EDIT:
You may really be on to something ...

Well this is interesting, Charles Dance isn't listed as being a part of Godzilla vs Kong...

So Jonah just, what, burns the road up after spoilers:
selling the Ghidorah head to someone (probably Apex)
    end of spoilers?

Haha I never thought I’d compare Kong to Superman, but similar to Supes his empathy and altruism can be exploited by his enemies and can be his true weak spot. Especially this version of Kong who actively looks out for the creatures of Skull Island (except the squids apparently).

what is Kong's food source at this point? seems like he'd be attacking blue whales for food if he's super-sized now.
