Ahh No Mans Land...the story-arc where Cass first debuted...good times! 1999 up to 2006...then DC realized that Cass was growing strong and they started screwing her up going as far as to turn her into a villain and it went downhill.

Same here
I always found Cass showing up as Batgirl odd, IIRC shes show as just a kid for a couple of issues, then suddenly shes got exceptional fighting skills and appears in the batgirl suit (the one Huntress originally wore) and working with Batman without any introduction? Was there a preview comic of her or something that I missed?
Yup, ordered those too and pre ordered Road To No Man's Land Vol.2 (it's not out until the 21st here in the UK).
I did order Batman: Evolution too but just now have noticed DC are releasing Batman: New Gotham:

Next month. Wondered if i should get that too when it comes out.
You memories are incorrect. At no points was he just this kid.
She appeared in just one two-parter before Batman gave her the costume, and she was already an almost supernaturally skilled badass with a very murky and troubled past, who gets to save Jim Gordon's life in those issues.
So how are the 2 volumes of 'Road to No Mans Land'? Are they complete / missing issues / etc?
I just bought them yesterday through IST, but it'll be a while before they get here.

Every post I make, it should be assumed by the reader that the following statement is attached: "It's all subjective. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for you, and vice versa, and that's ok. You may have a different opinion on it, but this is mine. That's the wonderful thing about being a comics fan, it's all subjective."
