Default May I make a suggestion for your reading list?

I hope I'm not out of line here, but I would like to suggest that you guys read some X-Men comics books. There's a great metaphor in them about tolerance and acceptance that can be readily applied to real world issues like race and sexuality and dealing with people with different ideals than you, and from what I've seen here lately I think some of you guys might benefit from that perspective. So check it out, maybe you'll find you've expanded your way of thinking!

I think that this message would be better in the General Marvel Board.

I wish this was a forum where people who liked the X-Men could talk to each other without getting **** on all the time.

I felt that maybe one of us should actually suggest a story/trade to read. I really loved the X-Men Legacy run from issue #208 until #275 which also had one of my favorite X-Men crossovers, Age of X. The extremely weird but beloved run by Simon Spurrier and Tan Eng Haut that featured Legion was also worth reading. Also, Ed Brubaker's Uncanny X-Men then Matt Fraction's and Kieron Gillen's have been my favorite to date. Love X-Factor by Peter David, love, love, love! And there are so many that deserve to be listed but those are my top choices if you've never read X-Men. Start somewhere but dig in sometime around 2005 to 2008 and you won't regret it.

One of my many goals is to start at M-Day and read everything going forward from there. I think that's a perfect jumping-on point for the modern X-Men experience.

Oh yeah, M-day, when everything started to go downhill.

    A solidly informed e-pinion.

    *spoilers*
None of the plots lead to anywhere or anything.

It's like people saying I'm a fan of Madonna, don't buy her music. Sounds weird? Yeah, I agree.

Actually, I think the more apt comparison is: I'm a fan of Madonna, but don't like her last album, and refuse to let anyone around me like that album, because my opinion of what Madonnas's career should be is the only one that is allowed to exist.
