The 3DS and Wii U games are 2 separate games altogether


Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for Wii U

and

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for 3DS

I like some of the changes they made including the health meter with rings instead of just losing your rings but it seems a lot slower.


Its like a naughty dog platformer mixed with sonic and on a Nintendo system ( which is exactly what it is, since former naughty dog devs are developing the Wii U version)

At least in the 3ds version of the new world, we gain the chance to play as the new character. As I think the Wii U version will have her be at least making supporting role/cameo appearance throughout the game.
