Amazing Fantasy #15. It may be a cop-out answer, but it's my favorite comic of all-time.

If This Be My Destiny is a pretty awesome read indeed. My vote goes to that one.

picked kravens last hunt, because I didn't see other. My actual favorite is the CLONE SAGA. Loved this epic, epic story. Love Ben Reily. Loved the idea of Peter having a "brother" to share adventures with and good times. Loved the whole damn thing!!

I second that, Gwen's death and immediate aftermath was one of the best if not the best single story in Spider-Man history imo.

As for the list, its' a damn hard call I'll go with Kraven's Last Hunt although just barely.

Don't feel bad I kind of liked Maximum Carnage *ducks*, although mainly for the ending which I thought was well done. Loved battered Peter being tossed by Carnage between Norman and Harry Osborns' graves and in the aftermath him reflecting on life and death.

I went with 'other'--for me it would be the saga of the original Hobgoblin. It was just an exciting time to be reading the book--the fantastic art, the down-to-earth storytelling (in one scene Pete washes his costume in the sink and falls asleep, exhausted, in his tiny apartment).

A powerful, dangerous new villain who'd decided to take Osborne's schtick to the next level...and none of us knew who he really was. As a kid I was convinced he was Lance Bannon, possibly Jameson himself.

Of those listed, I'd say KLH. But for Other: Rhino's Gauntlet two-parter.

The Death of Jean DeWolff and say what you will about contemporary Spider-Man stories but I loved Unscheduled Stop. Mark Waid should just write everything.

It's really good. There might have been a brief sliver of time when that was the best comic book ever.

That is arguably the definitive Spider-Man story. Its tenure as best comic book ever was very brief. The month after Amazing Spider-Man #33 came out, Lee and Kirby started the Galactus saga in Fantastic Four.

I agree-I'd probably call The Hobgoblin Saga one of the best Spidey stories in History. Justice is Served (where Flash is framed as The Hobgoblin) was probably my favourite part of it.
    Other favourites include:
Grim Hunt-An epic, dark, tragic finale to The Gauntlet Era.
    Spider-Man No More-For obvious reasons.
    Spider-Island-A modern classic.
Coming Home-A great standalone, starting point for Spider-Man, as well as introducing a terrifying new villain.

I still love Kraven' s last hunt. To this day it's one of my favorite spiderman stories ever.
If alternate universe stories count then Noir would be right next to KLH. Noir was probably one of the best genres to put spiderman in and that costume is outright perfect for the charaecter, I never get tired of reading it.
