I hope one day DC/WB realizes the potential of Plas. I don’t know if he works as a live action character but I would love to see an animated movie or tv show that isn’t just aimed at kids. I would never want to see a R rated Plastic Man movie but something similar to the current series. I was never a fan of the Deadpool comics but I enjoyed the movies because I think they were pretty clever and witty with their approach. Plas could be Deadpool without the gratuitous violence. Play up his cartoony nature. Bleeding Cool reviewed issue 2 and stated that it was superhero comedy done right.
I'm not very well-versed in DC Comics history. I've been (mostly) enjoying the new Plastic Man mini, but I'm confused as to when it's actually supposed to be happening (as in like...DC's and Eel's timeline).
Any insight?
DC has a very loose continuity at the moment. The concept of Hypertime has been mentioned in several books recently and Didio himself said at Comic Con that he loves Grant Morrison’s view that “everything happened”. So they aren’t going to let continuity get in the way of a creator if they have a good story to tell.
Plastic Man mentioned the events of Metal, so we at least know that that happened in this book’s continuity.
The first two issues have been really enjoyable.

I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

The mini by Gail Simone is wonderful so far. I really like both the humor and Plas voice in this. Also, I'm a fan of Plas as a father. I mean, Offspring story in the kingdom was so touching.
