Default Did Donald trump not care about innocent lives while planning to cure Covid 19?

As Donald Trump have suggested injecting/injesting disinfectants into one's body, do you thing he's trying to save the day as well as innocent lives?

He's a malignant narcissist who framed the entire pandemic around if he would get credit, but not actually caring enough to ever think about the dead. He's also a lazy moron with no ability to grasp science, or pay attention to any problem for more than ten seconds without being bored of it. The only person he ever cared about who got Covid-19 was himself.

    Hope that answers your question.

Think of everything in terms of how it would benefit him.

    1. There's a good economy. Pandemic is bad for economy. Ignore panemic.

    2. Okay there is a pandemic but it isn't serious.

    3. Okay it's serious but it will be over by Easter.

    4. Okay it wasn't over by Easter but soon.

    5. Okay it won't be over soon "liberate"

    6. Okay they didn't liberate try bleach

You think he was actually planning to cure it?

You think he was planning on doing anything other than lining his own pockets?

He was all for curing people if it was easy, didn't take much (any) work from him, and he could take credit.

But things like pandemic management, coordination, and vaccine rollout take effort and effort takes away from tweeting/golfing time. So long as Covid didn't kill him who cares about anyone else?

    This, pretty much.

That's why the rollout has been so shitty. It should have been a federal effort from the start, gamed out since the start of Operation Warp Speed. I mean hell, the army is 2/3s logistics!

Instead, he planned to pawn it off on the states, and soak up credit for the vaccine

Going by their comments/posts on social media, a lot of trump supporters don't believe in science. How the hell did so many people who received a western education grew up to eschew science?

They believe in science, just that pulling away from the majority makes them smart. Flat Earthers, to one degree or another

Trump is a terrible human being. And I don't want to say anything that could be confused with me defending him. But he never said that people should inject bleach--let alone drink bleach. He was actually talking about the science--and things that actual scientists were looking at--but he didn't know all the science or the proper jargon so he was posing questions about what they might be able to do to fight the virus, but saying this in a typical layperson's dumb way of speaking. It's the people who reported on this, and made jokes about it, that distorted it so much that it became Trump says drink bleach. That was the megaphone.

Some kind of injected chemical that takes out the virus is what scientists were working on--it's called a vaccine. And it's a fact that ultra-violet light breaks the molecular bonds of viruses--that's why it's good to go out in the sunshine. Trump was trying to make actually valid comments about the science--it's just that his lack of education made it impossible for him to express that in the right words.

Trump said enough actual bad things when he was in office that no one needed to extrapolate or enlarge on what he said. The problem with those distortions is that they can be used as proof that people were manufacturing statements that Trump never made--and the Trump-believers could go on having faith in him, because it was clear that these sources were not using the actual quotes.

The people who went so far away from the truth to attack Trump and his cronies did not help the situation at all.

All the replies I have to offer have been covered above.

The GOP has continually tried to dismantle the public education system and cut funding to higher education. We are pretty much seeing the results now.

The main point is that it should not be OK for someone with his lack of education or ability to effectively communicate to fill the role of President.
Say what you want about people blowing his comments out of proportion, but the fact remains they were idiotic and people need to point that out so no one thinks this depth of stupidity should be accepted.

My main point is you don't accomplish anything by blowing things out of proportion. Then the people you're trying to reach aren't going to listen to what you say. If you want others to be reasonable, then you have to be reasonable with them. American discourse is far too hyperbolic--no wonder it creates people like Donald Trump.
