Right. Also we have to face the fact that BLM is going to be more skeptical of police killings than your average white conservative. It's just the product of different perspectives and life experiences.

More Californians are represented per one of our electoral votes, than for one electoral vote of most other states, making my % of my vote in CA's electoral vote worth less than if I lived in a less populous state - they should all be that same.

Also, electoral #s are based on the census. The last one was in 2010, and it's already way out of date and incorrect compared to the reality of 2016, more so than any other previous election.
The EC is an outdated institution designed to protect the power of slave states. We've enshrined it as some necessary and permanent part of the American experiment. But it was originally anything but.

Yes, Amazon must totally hate the free exposure and hundreds of thousands of people visiting their online store linked from news articles.

She lost by 53 points and all you have to cling on is that California & New York (blue states) have such a high population compared to the everywhere else. It's a terrible argument that clings on saying that areas with higher population have more in power. Anyhow... Holy crap was this savage:

At this rate, Mel Gibson will win best director Oscar from his world war 2 movie.

    But... they actually do.

China's global influence is in big part due to their huge population size.

In general, more people equals more productivity, more brain power, more influence.

At least until general artificial intelligence is invented and the robots take over fully!

Why do you want to deny rock, sand and gophers the right to choose our president?

I'm glad to know that absolutely nobody outside of California voted for Clinton. What a weight off my mind.

Okay, interesting logic and argument but let's remember that California and Texas doesn't have any manufacturing, sure California has Silicon Valley but in order for your "ooh but huge population is so great, just look at China" you would also want to say NY & California would manufacture & have factories like the rust belt areas, the key areas that caused Trump's victory.

Note: I am not saying Chinese people are poor people who work in farms or build ghost cities only, we know they're doing their hardest to make their middle class work and become more consumption based than manufacturing, this is why they're buying land in West Africa to get even cheaper manufacturing.... Hooray globalism?!

China's people are dedicated, hard-working and community comes first, where as California & Texas have these entitled millennials working at Starbucks demanding a recount. :-)

Are you seriously saying that your vote should be worth more if you work in manufacturing?

Why don't we have a demographics based electoral college? If you want to stop the tyranny of the majority and politicians appeasing one element of society like electoral college defenders claim they want to do, make it so that black, hispanic and gay votes all count more than white votes! As it stands, the current US election is mainly about appealing to white voters, and that's just as bad as the theoretical popular vote system where politicians only appeal to cities (which wouldn't actually happen).

I'm starting to look forward to the Trump presidency. It's shaping up to be a really funny shitshow. Too bad about the environment.

Yeah, too bad about the environment, about millions of people who could lose their healthcare, about worsening race relations, about increased xenophobia, about the ever widening gulf between rich and poor, about the threat of civil rights, women's rights and gay rights being rolled back. Sure, this has the potential of being so goddamn funny, we're just going to die laughing.

Americans elected a Republican government and that's what they're going to get (Trump may have lost the popular vote but the GOP won the congressional vote). The GOP did all of that last time they were in power and made it no secret they were going to do it again.

It's not my country so I can't put that much effort into caring about your domestic politics. The majority of your country just voted to fuck themselves over, it happens sometimes. The problem is that the American government has so much power in the world and the American people clearly shouldn't have it.

It may be not your country, but your economy is probably going to crash just as hard, your climate will be just as fucked, and depending on where you live, you are suddenly a lot more likely to get bombed by Americans or Russians.

In my case , none of those will happen, our economy is recovering from truck driver protest we had in october, yeah climate is fucked but my country doesnt add or do anything about it, we mostly focus on protecting the Amazon and its rivers, and South America is irrelevent to everyone, to the muslims extremis, to the refugees, to the white nationalist, we only have problems with corrupt left wing governments.
