Batman: Gothic is really good, too.

    Batman: Year One
    Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
    Gotham Central
Batman: The Long Halloween + Dark Victory
Batman (New 52) by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo
    Batman: The Black Mirror
    Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman & Robin by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely
    JLA: Tower of Babel
Batman: I Am Gotham by Tom King for DC Rebirth
I would never recommend TDKR (Elseworlds), JLA Tower (Batman as an a-hole) or Batman I am Gotham (stupid title, even worse writing and art)

Looking for further recommendations. I've got/read; Year One, Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Hush, Dark Knight Returns, Court of Owls, Arkham Asylum, The Man Who Laughs and The Killing Joke.
I've going to pick up Knightfall, No Man's Land, Under The Red Hood, Death in the family. Am I missing anything obvious/must read?

Gotham Central (Law and Order with Batman, very little Batman)
    Catwoman by Ed Brubaker
Heart of Hush (sequel to Hush, even better than Hush)

Joker by Azzarello and Bermejo - especially if you liked Ledger's Joker in TDK, considering this was published before the movie the character design for Joker is eerily prophetic.
Batman: Prey by Moench - Easily one of my favorites.
Matt Wagner's Dark Moon Rising series, Batman and the Monster Men and Batman and the Mad Monk
Zero Year by Snyder, particularly the first half/Red Hood storyline. In my opinion better than his Court of Owls.

Obviously controversial around here but I've enjoyed the Earth One series a lot so I'd recommend them.

What do you make of the issues collected? I've read some while others are gaps to me.

Dunno. Haven't read most of it
    #1 Just for the anniversary
#20 Maybe Crimson Avenger first appearance - Seven Soldiers of Victory/All-Star Squadron
    #27 Batman
    #38 Robin
#60 A Joker story that I guess they chose because they can't include Batman #1
#64 “THE JOKER WALKS THE LAST MILE.”
    #66 Two-Face
    #140 Riddler
    #151 "IOU My life"
    #153 "The Flying Batman"
#225 "If I Were Batman" contest by Gazette
    #233 Batwoman
    #267 Bat-Mite
    #298 Clayface Matt Hagen
    #327 Gotham Village
    #359 Batgirl
    #400 Man-Bat
    #437 Deathmask Matuchima - a classic
    #443 Manhunter *spoiler*
    #457 Leslie Thompkins
#474 Deadshot Ricochet - Wow they really like this one
#482 A Batman Family adventure featuring Batman, Batgirl, Robin, Man-Bat and a white ape villain called Simon
    #500 To Kill a Legend - YES!
#567 "The Night of Thanks, But No Thanks!" - Kinda like Snyder's #50
#742 Post No Man's Land Gordon return to overhaul the understaffed GCPD
    #27 Snyder's Remaster probably

Yeah, most of them fit an anniversary book like this. First or notable appearances of heroes and villains, some stories that examine Batman... A lot of this has been in other collections, especially the Batman Arkham collections and the Legend of Batman collections of author/artist showcase. The rest I don't know or never heard of and I'm sure never been collected.

So I guess if you haven't had the Arkham or Legend of Batman series, or if you want the 4 or so issues that's never been collected before, this will be a good place to start.

Hi Everyone, I’m a relatively new collector from the U.K and I was thinking of sending my Batman adventures 12 to CGC. I have never had anything CGC’d before and was wondering if it’s worth doing? As I don’t think it would be a high grade. Sorry if this isn’t where I’m
    Supposed to post this. I’m
Brand new to this and this is my first post! Thanks everyone. B5E8BEC5-D5C4-48F6-9607-279DE3F8F10F.jpg

Is it because its B:TAS and Batgirl taking over? What does CGC stand for?

For the record, Batgirl didn't "take over" that series then. The issue just had a focus on her instead of Batman (also featured Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn).

As for "CGC", that's the Certified Guaranty Company which is an independent grading service on the condition of old comic book issues.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum I'm sorry if this has been posted /asked before, but I couldn't immediately find it.
Is there some sort of timeline to be found of Batman?
I'm currently watching Gotham and I was wondering if there's a certain comic, series, movie,... That follows from here on?

I've read lots of comics back in the day, but in no particular order, just by release order.
