Question Looking for comic book title/story circa 1970? regarding feeding a rat by a prisoner in a cell

One of the creepiest stories I read as a kid. Guessing it was around 1969-70? I would guess it would have been from a horror comic.

The storyline was where a prisoner befriended a rat and kept feeding it. He realized that if he kept feeding the rat, the rat would slowly bend out the window bars so that he could escape. As time goes by the rat got bigger and bigger, and the bars were close to being wide enough for him to squeeze by.... One problem though....the rat came by one day for food, and the prisoner had not food....so the rat ate him.

Would love to be able to find this title.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

    Thx much !!!!!

Some questions that may help narrow things down:

What country were you in - was this an American comic?

Was it color or black & white?

Do you remember anything about the cover?

Thanks so much everyone. I've been thinking about this story for decades, and in just hours from finding this forum, I've found the answer. Just fantastic. Now to find who is selling the book!
