Don't hold your breath, because you know that's exactly what is he going to do.

I really think this shouldn't even be a consideration.

Unnecessary. It had a great ending.

I do expect a tribute to Uncle Phil(RIP).

Nailed it. This is totally being created solely to give his son something to act in. I somehow don't imagine him having the same charm as Will did back in the original...

Bingo! That, I don't want! And I heard or read somewhere that Smith and Martin Lawrence are supposed to be getting back together for Bad Boys III. Yikes!

This will fail. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is one of those shows that belongs to its time and doesn't translate to another era without compromising much of what made it successful in the first place.

Or if one must disagree, consider this: the show was not funny because of Will Smith and (if you want to count him) Alfonso Ribeiro, it was funny because of James Avery. You cannot replace or substitute James Avery.

Every sitcom needs a solid straight man, and Avery was a really good one. However, it isn't like he was the only straight man in the history of television or even the greatest. There was just a lot of chemistry among the members of that cast. Very unlikely that they will catch lightning in the bottle again.

He wasn't even the first over weight black straight man Carl Winslow was on the air for a year before uncle phil.
