I felt this thread was something that needed to exist. DB debates sometimes rely a lot on the poster's knowledge of DB which is most often expressed through "he beat x which beat y which did this crap".

Mind, I'm okay with that stuff, but it doesn't help the other guy get a clear picture. Hence the thread. Pure measurable feats with no power scaling.

Okay, so I added an extra scan to the Genki Dama section for clarity. Which I should have done in the first place but I was tired by then.


Also, just for fun, Goku's return travel speed on the Snake Way:

Now, King Kai kind of fucked up and failed to account for the time it would take Goku to return from the Snake Way. See, the Saiyans are arriving tomorrow and Goku will take two days to return by King Kai's estimates, which will mean he'll arrive a day late.

Only, that doesn't happen seeing as how he arrived at all.

Neat thing is, we actually get numbers this time. The battle with the Saiyans starts the next day at 12:20 pm.

Later on, Vegeta makes Nappa wait 3 extra hours. Goku doesn't arrive then but shortly before they begin fighting again, Kami feels Goku getting there.

Now, 12:20+3 hours will give us 15:20. Now, let's make it 16:00 due to all the fighting that happened after 12:20, although 40 minutes is probably way too much for super speed fighting, if we have to be honest.

Anyway, let's say Goku arrives 16:00 the next the day.

Assuming Goku started his trip at 8:00 am the day before, it would go like this:

Hours traveled: 32
Distance traveled: 1 Million Km

So we have 7 716.04938 m/s or Mach 22.6

If we make the high end assumption that Goku started at exactly 16:00 the day before we would get:

Hours traveled: 24
Distance traveled: 1 Million Km

So we'd get 11 574.0741 m/s or Mach 34.



In either case, the speed is low compared to where they should be. Of course, as we know short term burst speed in Dragon Ball is much faster than long distance travel.
