Who guard their over bloated paucities of power with money. With false reasoning. With measured hesitance. With prideful, recalcitrant inaction. With hateful invective. With weapons. F@#K these selfish fools and their prevailing world order." Tony Stark

That's too bad Blade has been delayed, but at least that saves me four bucks towards my overall October comic purchases. I was looking forward to reading it though, mostly to see Blade's daughter, so I hope it does come out eventually.

I think a lot of the solicits are vague and lame. That being said, I'm trying a bunch of books I wasn't originally planning on, like nova, Sam Wilson, and the annuals/ specials. I am having some doubts about invincible iron man though.

I have watched Marvel move this way and think that Disney is attempting to have it's cake and eat it too. You want to develop a more diverse group of characters and dial back some ages to maintain the illusion of change, that's fine, I get it. But who is the intended audience for the new characters and stories? At $3.99 or more I never would have started reading comics when I was ten. Hell my weekly allowance would not have been spent on 1 comic book a week that's for sure. I think Disney-think is going to hurt the Marvel arm of the company. Like DC, they have a rich history and library of characters and stories to pull from to develop for new media (movies, animated TV, video games) like never before and the majority of the content they develop is from the older and "classic" storylines. How many of the movies have used modern stories? Off the top of my head only Extremis and the Winter Soldier arcs (and naming a movie after poorly written crossover does not count).

I want to read and support the industry but I am not on board with most of the decisions being made and the direction the characters are going.

Not gonna lie... This solicit was the BEST sales pitch anyone has made to me for the book. I legitimately laughed at that.

    DRAX #1 $3.99 (Maybe)
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #2 $3.99
    GROOT #6 $3.99

This has to be the smallest my Marvel list has been in years and I'm not even that excited about these to tell the truth. Maybe there will be some cool stuff next month.

I was referring to marvel's tendency to keep their information on solicits to a minimum, and expect us to lap it up based on characters or creative teams alone. Like the uncanny avengers annual- dead pool had to be in it, because we'll never buy the book without him in it.
