How do we get Rogue back?

I think I don't want Rogue to come back if she's still this "super powered hero" character.

The only other thing she's ever been, very briefly, is this "super powered villain" character.

Well, from Fox's perspective there's no reason to make up as they're just doing what's in their contract with Marvel.
And from Marvel's perspective Fox is the antichrist for not letting them weasel out of their contract like Sony did.

This'll carry on until somebody from Disney will come down from the mountain to tell Perlmutter to stop his childish tantrums because they're potentially costing them tons of merchandising money.

Supremely ironic - Rogue was hardly in Last Stand, not in First Class, had her few scenes cut out from DoFP and isn't going to be in Apocalypse. So, Marvel have essentially removed her from the X books despite the people with the movie rights to her character being more interested in the beloved Mystique.
