Default Cast a villain for the Ben Affleck Batman movies

    Classic thread will never die.

I'm still bummed out by the false promise that was Tom Hardy as Hugo Strange. Imagine this guy in full Locke mode, except not Locke but Bronson. If not Hardy then at least Malkovich.

If they're truly doing Under the Hood next then Jason needs to be the heartbroken redheaded impostor again, which I think our boy Shia could channel perfectly. And the Blask Mask should actually be Ventriloquist, who is John Lithgow.

Edward Norton as the Riddler has my vote.

Someone as Hush. Matt Damon would be nice but it would be too distracting to have Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in the same movie.

I'll second Norton as the Riddler.

And now, here's for my own:

    Joe Pesci as The Penguin
    Casey Affleck as Lincoln March
    Jeff Goldblum as The Scarecrow
    Famke Janssen as Catwoman
Stone Cold Steve Austin as Mr. Freeze
Daniel Day Lewis as The Condiment King
Jake Gyllenhaal as James Gordon Jr.
    Nic Cage as Dr. Hurt!!!

Remember I was under the influence of frosted flakes when making this so you shouldn't put too much stock into this.

Colm Feore as The Riddler (fun fact: His Andre Linoge voice from Storm of the Century is my head's voice for Doctor Hurt)
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Either Neil Patrick Harris or Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Riddler
    Colm Feore as Mr. Freeze
    Ron Perlman as Clayface
    Patton Oswalt as the Penguin
    DJ Qualls as the Scarecrow
    Alberto Del Rio as Bane
    Stanley Tucci as Hugo Strange
    Alyssa Milano as Poison Ivy
    Bryan Cranston as Black Mask
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!

    Mads Mikkelsen as Mr. Freeze!

I'm a huge fan of the man, he's a brilliant actor. Anyone who's seen him in Hannibal can confirm Mads knows how to play solemn and cold -- forgive the Arnold-esque pun. Speaking of that, this character deserves a redemption on the big screen. Mads would destroy the role.

Mads would be great as Mr. Freeze. Or pretty much anybody, just get him in the film!

I'd love to see Damon as Two-Face just for the lols, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Ivy.

    Ha, this is excellent.

Pesci would be a terrifying Penguin. I was going to say Broderick but I think you may have won this one too.

I think Red Hood could be a fun way to go, allows you to do a lot of flashbacks to really set up the story while moving forward in the Batman's life at the same time.

    Jensen Ackles as Red Hood.
I loved him in the animated feature and think he could do a great live performance.

Hush would be my second pick, especially since you could almost directly adapt the story now that Batman and Superman share the same universe.

    Josh Brolin as Hush.
He's been up for the role of Bruce Wayne before so why not give him a shot as the man who tries to steal Bruce's life?

To do Hush you would need Poison Ivy.

Deborah Ann Woll as Poison Ivy.
She played a pretty bad ass vampire and I think given more character to chew on she could really do Ivy justice.

I'd also love to see WB give the Court of Owls story a run on the big screen and to do that you would need Lincoln March.

    Matt Bomer as Lincoln March
I'd love to see Matt play a villain and I think March would be a great character for him to dig into.

Colm Feore or Mads Mikkelsen could work well as Mr Freeze probably. Couldn't Mads do Hush too?

Back in the early 90s, I'd have cast Sam Neill as Black Mask. There are panels in Black Mask's first app arc where Roman literally looks like Sam Neill.

Too good an actor to waste on Hush. Freeze would be fantastic though.

Mads could pretty much do any damn villain he pleases. I can see him naturally as Freeze before any others though.

Paul Heyman as The Penguin! Perhaps you're thinking, "Isn't he from the wrestling world? We need real actors!" And that's exactly what Paul Heyman does when he gets in front of the camera. He acts! And he can play a despicable businessman better than many of the Hollywood names. He would be great as Oswald! I don't know if he'd ever have any interest in doing it, but he would rule.
