Angel (Warren Worthington III aka Archangel): Angel currently has normal flesh-toned skin, his feathered wings, and has demonstrated an additional healing ability that, at the moment, has been shown able to resurrect dead animals, at the very least. Angel currently has the ability to alternate between his two personas, and his last romantic interest was Psylocke. He was last seen during the X-Men’s battle against Nate Grey. Angel Dust (Christine ???): Depowered on M-Day. Part of the Chicago Morlocks who had the power to chemically increase her adrenaline levels. Her mutant energy signature was revealed to be part of the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: Morlocks #4.
Animax (Blake Schiel): Developed mutant powers after the Decimation. Blake Schiel is a mutant who could summon and command dragon-like creatures, that she either pulls from another dimensional space, or creates entirely out of molecular material. She was last seen serving time as an inmate in the Robert Kelly Correctional Facility. Last Appearance: X-Men: Gold #24.
Annalee ???: Deceased. Annalee was one of the Morlocks and an empath. She was slain during the “Mutant Massacre” by Scalphunter. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #211.
Anne ???: Deceased. Anne was a member of the Purifiers, working for Rev. Stryker, who discovered she was a mutant on stage in front of him, when a psi-scan device he created to identify mutants gave her a nosebleed. As she begged him forgiveness, Stryker threw her off the stage of Madison Square Garden, and to her death. Last Appearance: Marvel Graphic Novel #5.
Anole (Victor Borkowski): Retained his powers at M-Day, retaining his enhanced dexterity, ability to walk on walls, elastic tongue, skin that can blend to his surroundings. It was recently discovered after Victor had his arm severed in Limbo that when Anole loses a limb, he has the power to have a stronger version of that limb grow back. Anole was last seen talking to Beast about having given vaccine he was working on to the government. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 5) #9.
Anteus (???): Believed Deceased. Retained his power to channel natural elemental energy into physical strength after the Decimation. Believed Deceased. Anteus was a member of the Neo, and was last seen in San Francisco, battling the Young X-Men. He was believed killed when the Evolutionaries disintregated all of the Neo. Last Appearance: Young X-Men #12.
Anti-Matter (Arlo Summers): Current status after M-Day unknown. Anti-Matter was one of many mutants to try out to be a member of X-Force. He appeared to be a skeleton sheathed by energy housed in some sort of containment suit. His powers were never further explained. It is unknown if he is in any way related to the more famous Summers line of mutants. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #129.
Antoni ???: Developed mutant powers after the Decimation. Antoni was a Polish mutant who was a human/frilled lizard hybrid who was last seen being evacuated from his country to Atlantis by a team of X-Men led by Jean Grey. Last Appearance: X-Men: Red #5.
Antonio ???: Deceased. The pyrokinetic boyfriend of Magma who lost his powers on M-Day and fell into a volcano the two were viewing while flying overhead, protected by their mutant powers. Last Appearance: X-Men: The 198 #1.
Ape (???): Deceased. Ape was one of the Morlocks who had a malleable molecular structure he could use to alter his physical form, and he was among the first mutants killed at the Neverland prison camp. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 2) #5.
Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur): Believed deceased. Retained his powers after M-Day. He was defeated in that conflict. Apocalypse is a megamorph with the ability to heal from a single drop of blood, and can also discharge concussive energy blasts. He has access to Celestial technology, making him an even more formidable threat, as well as cloning technology. He was last seen during the X-Men’s battle against Nate Grey. Appraiser (???): Status unknown after M-Day. Appraiser had the mutant power to know a person or object's true worth. Last Appearance: Excalibur (vol. 2) #8.
Arceneaux, Emery James (aka Ultra-Zombie): Deceased. Arceneaux had the power to create an energy force field and energy blasts. He was shot and killed by New Orleans Detective Noreen Tanaka after Gambit convinced him to power down his force field and join Xavier’s school during an attempted bank robbery. His body would briefly be reanimated by his mother, Antoinelle in an attempt to gain vengeance. Last Appearance: Gambit (vol. 4) #9.
Archer (aka Jude Black): Status after the Decimation unknown. Archer was one of three members of the X.U.E. who are from the same alternate future as Bishop and Shard. Archer had the power to assume a photoelectric form, from which he had an taser-like touch, and the ability to project energy blasts. He may have been depowered on M-Day, but this is unconfirmed. Last retired and was living with the family of Jude Black in present day Marvel 616. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 2) #149.
Arclight (Phillipa Sontag): Retained her power to generate seismic energy blasts around her hands to cause shockwaves and earth tremors after the Decimation. Arclight is a longtime member of Mr. Sinister’s Marauders, who has escaped death on more than one occasion by her employer’s use of cloning technology. She was last seen in Genosha, while Magneto was trying to fend off an Incursion. Last Appearance: Magneto (vol. 3) #20.
Ariel (???): Retained her powers after the Decimation. Ariel is a mutant of the alien race that lives on the planet known as Coconut Grove. Like all of her race, Ariel has the ability to teleport through a sub-space dimension, but her mutant power is that she also has psionic persuasion powers. She was believed killed while riding in an SUV hit by a rocket attack in X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #235, but managed to survive by teleporting to safety at the last instant, as revealed in X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #259. She was last seen teleporting Rogue to the Jean Grey School of Higher Learning. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #260.
Aries (???): Status as a mutant not confirmed, only suspected. Developed his superhuman strength, durability, and horns after M-Day. Aries appeared as one of Mr. Sinister‘s new Marauders, and was last seen working as one of Mr. Sinister‘s new Marauders in the New York City Sewers and battling the X-Men. Last Appearance: Extraordinary X-Men #4.
