Angel (Warren Worthington III aka Archangel): Angel currently has normal flesh-toned skin, his feathered wings, and has demonstrated an additional healing ability that, at the moment, has been shown able to resurrect dead animals, at the very least. Angel currently has the ability to alternate between his two personas, and his last romantic interest was Psylocke. He was last seen during the X-Men’s battle against Nate Grey. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 5) #10.

Angel Dust (Christine ???): Depowered on M-Day. Part of the Chicago Morlocks who had the power to chemically increase her adrenaline levels. Her mutant energy signature was revealed to be part of the Collective in New Avengers (vol. 1) #18. Last Appearance: Morlocks #4.

Animax (Blake Schiel): Developed mutant powers after the Decimation. Blake Schiel is a mutant who could summon and command dragon-like creatures, that she either pulls from another dimensional space, or creates entirely out of molecular material. She was last seen serving time as an inmate in the Robert Kelly Correctional Facility. Last Appearance: X-Men: Gold #24.

Annalee ???: Deceased. Annalee was one of the Morlocks and an empath. She was slain during the “Mutant Massacre” by Scalphunter. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #211.

Anne ???: Deceased. Anne was a member of the Purifiers, working for Rev. Stryker, who discovered she was a mutant on stage in front of him, when a psi-scan device he created to identify mutants gave her a nosebleed. As she begged him forgiveness, Stryker threw her off the stage of Madison Square Garden, and to her death. Last Appearance: Marvel Graphic Novel #5.

Anole (Victor Borkowski): Retained his powers at M-Day, retaining his enhanced dexterity, ability to walk on walls, elastic tongue, skin that can blend to his surroundings. It was recently discovered after Victor had his arm severed in Limbo that when Anole loses a limb, he has the power to have a stronger version of that limb grow back. Anole was last seen talking to Beast about having given vaccine he was working on to the government. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 5) #9.

Anteus (???): Believed Deceased. Retained his power to channel natural elemental energy into physical strength after the Decimation. Believed Deceased. Anteus was a member of the Neo, and was last seen in San Francisco, battling the Young X-Men. He was believed killed when the Evolutionaries disintregated all of the Neo. Last Appearance: Young X-Men #12.

Anti-Matter (Arlo Summers): Current status after M-Day unknown. Anti-Matter was one of many mutants to try out to be a member of X-Force. He appeared to be a skeleton sheathed by energy housed in some sort of containment suit. His powers were never further explained. It is unknown if he is in any way related to the more famous Summers line of mutants. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #129.

Antoni ???: Developed mutant powers after the Decimation. Antoni was a Polish mutant who was a human/frilled lizard hybrid who was last seen being evacuated from his country to Atlantis by a team of X-Men led by Jean Grey. Last Appearance: X-Men: Red #5.

Antonio ???: Deceased. The pyrokinetic boyfriend of Magma who lost his powers on M-Day and fell into a volcano the two were viewing while flying overhead, protected by their mutant powers. Last Appearance: X-Men: The 198 #1.

Ape (???): Deceased. Ape was one of the Morlocks who had a malleable molecular structure he could use to alter his physical form, and he was among the first mutants killed at the Neverland prison camp. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 2) #5.

Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur): Believed deceased. Retained his powers after M-Day. He was defeated in that conflict. Apocalypse is a megamorph with the ability to heal from a single drop of blood, and can also discharge concussive energy blasts. He has access to Celestial technology, making him an even more formidable threat, as well as cloning technology. He was last seen during the X-Men’s battle against Nate Grey. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 5) #10.

Appraiser (???): Status unknown after M-Day. Appraiser had the mutant power to know a person or object's true worth. Last Appearance: Excalibur (vol. 2) #8.

Arceneaux, Emery James (aka Ultra-Zombie): Deceased. Arceneaux had the power to create an energy force field and energy blasts. He was shot and killed by New Orleans Detective Noreen Tanaka after Gambit convinced him to power down his force field and join Xavier’s school during an attempted bank robbery. His body would briefly be reanimated by his mother, Antoinelle in an attempt to gain vengeance. Last Appearance: Gambit (vol. 4) #9.

Archer (aka Jude Black): Status after the Decimation unknown. Archer was one of three members of the X.U.E. who are from the same alternate future as Bishop and Shard. Archer had the power to assume a photoelectric form, from which he had an taser-like touch, and the ability to project energy blasts. He may have been depowered on M-Day, but this is unconfirmed. Last retired and was living with the family of Jude Black in present day Marvel 616. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 2) #149.

Arclight (Phillipa Sontag): Retained her power to generate seismic energy blasts around her hands to cause shockwaves and earth tremors after the Decimation. Arclight is a longtime member of Mr. Sinister’s Marauders, who has escaped death on more than one occasion by her employer’s use of cloning technology. She was last seen in Genosha, while Magneto was trying to fend off an Incursion. Last Appearance: Magneto (vol. 3) #20.

Ariel (???): Retained her powers after the Decimation. Ariel is a mutant of the alien race that lives on the planet known as Coconut Grove. Like all of her race, Ariel has the ability to teleport through a sub-space dimension, but her mutant power is that she also has psionic persuasion powers. She was believed killed while riding in an SUV hit by a rocket attack in X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #235, but managed to survive by teleporting to safety at the last instant, as revealed in X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #259. She was last seen teleporting Rogue to the Jean Grey School of Higher Learning. Last Appearance: X-Men: Legacy (vol. 1) #260.

Aries (???): Status as a mutant not confirmed, only suspected. Developed his superhuman strength, durability, and horns after M-Day. Aries appeared as one of Mr. Sinister‘s new Marauders, and was last seen working as one of Mr. Sinister‘s new Marauders in the New York City Sewers and battling the X-Men. Last Appearance: Extraordinary X-Men #4.

Arkea (???): ] Apparently Deceased.. Sublime is not a mutant, but a three billion year old advanced sentient microorganism that when within living things, can influence their actions. Arkea is a billion-year old bacterium of similar origin to Sublime, who has the power to possess and control machines. She was neutralized with a gun that eliminated her, and left only her host present by Karima Shandipar. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 4) #12.

Armageddon Man (???): Status after the Decimation unknown. The Armageddon Man was a mutant discovered during the Cold War, who deemed too dangerous, was placed in suspended animation. He was briefly released by King Bedlam to go on a rampage, but was placed back into suspended animation by X-Force. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #90.

Armor (Hisako Ichiki): Not affected by the Decimation. Armor is currently living at the X-Men’s Marin Base, and has the power to create a psionic exoskeleton around her body. She was last seen during the X-Men’s battle against Nate Grey. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 5) #10.

Asher, Michael “Mike”: Deceased. Mike Asher had the ability to make his blood explode, and would do so to kill both himself, X, and Marshal in the last stand of X’s Brotherhood. Last Appearance: The Brotherhood #9.

Askari (Jono Baraka aka Akari The Spear): Status unknown after M-Day. Akari was a Zanzibarian mutant with enhanced strength and bio-energy blasts. Last Appearance: Excalibur (vol. 2) #13.

Asp (Cleopatra “Cleo” Nefertiti): Retained her powers after the Decimation. Asp has the power to produce bio-energy blasts, and is a longtime member of the Serpent Squad, and the B.A.D. Girls. She was last seen at the Bar With No Name, during a brawl between Gambit, Joelle, and a group of super-villains. Last Appearance: Gambit (vol. 5) #9.

Astra (???): Retained her powers after the Decimation. Astra was a member of the Brotherhood working under Magneto, who left the group prior to its on-panel debut in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #4. She is more widely remembered as the mystery villain who created the clone of Magneto, Joseph. During “The Twelve” storyline, Apocalypse mentions her, and says that she has been dealt with, leading some to believe she may have been killed off-panel by the ancient mutant after her last appearance in X-Men (vol. 2) #87. However, she reappeared in Magneto: Not a Hero #1. She She was last seen escaping by teleporting away prior to a battle between Magneto and Joseph. Last Appearance: Magneto: Not a Hero #4.

Asylum (Henrique Manuel Gallante aka Darkling): Retained his powers over the Darkforce Dimension after M-Day. Asylum registered with the government per SHRA, but if he was assigned to one of the fifty Initiative teams, it is still unknown which one that would be. Last Appearance: New Thunderbolts #16.

Audio (Raymond Keyes): Current status after M-Day unconfirmed. Audio is believed to have been depowered by the Decimation. Audio was last seen at the Xavier Institute. Last Appearance: New X-Men (vol. 2) #1.

Auric (Zhao Tang aka Zhao Kwan aka Gold): Status after the Decimation unknown. Auric had the power to project optic blasts that speed up the molecular velocity in objects, causing them to burn, melt, or sublimate. He was a member of Gamma Flight who died while being experimented on by the mysterious villain, Sphinx, but his life energy would return and form a composite energy being with his sister, Silver. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 1) #90.

Aurora (Jeanne-Marie Beaubier): Not affected by M-Day, retaining her powers of flight, and produce blinding light when in proximity of her brother, Northstar. Her last romantic partner was an abusive one, in the form of Malcolm Colcorde, the head of Weapon X during her time with the team. She was last seen with Alpha Flight on a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier as Iron Man and Captain Marvel battled in Washington, D.C. Last Appearance: Civil War II #8.

Avalanche (Dominic Szilard Janos Petros aka Jon Bloom): Believed Deceased. Retained his powers to disintegrate inorganic matter, and create seismic tremors after M-Day. He was last seen in New York City, falling off a ledge, possibly to his death, after having carried out an attack on humans after being lobotomized by the Red Skull. Last Appearance: Uncanny Avengers #1.

Avalanche II (???): Developed the ability to produce vibrations to affected his targets. He was last seen accepting payment from Lydia Nance and Mesmero for his work as a member of Mesmero’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Last Appearance: X-Men: Gold #22.

Avian (???): Status after the Decimation unknown. Avian may have been a mutant, or a Savage Land Mutate. She had wings for flight. She was last seen being left to live in the Savage Land by Alpha Flight. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 1) Annual #2.

Axe (???): Status after the Decimation unknown. Axe was a mutant with augmented strength and durability who served the Hellfire Club as brute force. He was last seen incarcerated in a prison for superhumans. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 2) #164.

Azazel (???): Retained his teleportation powers after the Decimation. This ancient mutant has a demonic appearance, and claims to have existed during biblical times, before he was trapped in an alternate dimension by ancient angelic mutants, save for brief jaunts back to Earth every few years. On one such excursion, he begat the X-Man, Nightcrawler. He was last seen with Weapon X, assisting them by teleporting them to Hell and back to stop Reverend Stryker. Last Appearance: Weapon X (vol. 3) #27.

Azimuth (???): Status as a mutant not confirmed, only suspected. Possibly deceased. Azimuth developed the ability to summon an inky black energy mist from her mouth after M-Day. Azimuth appeared as one of Mr. Sinister‘s new Marauders, and was last seen working as one of Mr. Sinister‘s new Marauders in the New York City Sewers and battling the X-Men. Backhand (???): Deceased. Backhand was a member of the Neo Guardian Clan with the power to deflect physical attacks, who was killed when he was disintegrated by the Evolutionaries. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 3) Giant-Size#1.

Bailey, Gailyn (aka Shatterbox): Deceased. Gailyn was a latent telekinetic and half of Shatterbox who was executed by the Shi’ar Death Squad in during “End of Greys”. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #467.

Bandit (Donyell Taylor aka Night Thrasher II): Believed depowered by the Decimation. Bandit lost his power to perform an electro-shocking touch after the Decimation. He has taken up the mantle of his brother, Night Thrasher. His last romantic interest was Silhouette. He was last seen battling against the Hood’s gang with the Avengers Resistance at Camp H.A.M.M.E.R. Last Appearance: Avengers: The Initiative #34.

Banjo ???: Status after M-Day unknown. Banjo was a ten-year old, eight-foot tall mutant hunchback with enhanced strength who was last seen battling Spider-Man in the Appalachian Mountains with his brother, Bug-Eye. Last Appearance: Spectacular Spider-Man (vol. 1) #156.

Bank, Irving: Currently does not have demonstrating powers. Irving was the son of Meyer Banciewicz and father of David Bank, whose powers were somehow suppressed by his own father. He was last seen with his son David, as he opened a package sent by Vance Astrovik containing the Marvel Boy costume. Last appearance: Justice: Four Balance #4.

Banshee (Sean Cassidy): Still in possession of his mutant power to wield a sonic scream after the Decimation. He was killed when he tried to use his sonic scream to deflect the Blackbird away from a passenger jet that Vulcan had aimed it at, but his throat was not healed enough from previous injuries to do so. He was struck by the Blackbird, and he died from massive trauma in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #2. He turned up as a techno-organic virus-infected thrall of Selene in X-Force (vol. 3) #21, buy was blasted out of one of the towers on Utopia by Cyclops and was likely left dead again after Selene was defeated on Genosha in X-Force (vol. 3) #25. He was brought back from the dead to serve as one of the Apocalypse Twins’ Horsemen in Uncanny Avengers (vol. 1) #13. He was last seen helping the X-Men defeat the Reavers while they attacked the Xavier Institute. Last Appearance: Astonishing X-Men (vol. 4) #17.

Barbarus (???): Barbarus is not a mutant, but a Savage Land Mutate created by Magneto who has four arms. He was last seen attacking Japanese sailing vessels with the Savage Land Mutates. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 3) #10.

Barbican (???): Believed deceased. Barbican was a member of the Neo with the powers to reshape clay and stone surfaces as well as enhanced physical attributes, and was supposedly in Genosha after the death of the Neo, Rax. He was believed killed when the Evolutionaries disintregated all of the Neo. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #106.

Barker (Terry Hightower): Current status after M-Day unknown. Barker was a human/bulldog hybrid with sonic disorienting abilities who battled the New Mutants in gladatorial combat, before being set free by Dazzler. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 1) #31.

Barnacle: (Mortimer Everett): Believed deceased. Barnacle was an Acolyte with the powers to solidify the moisture secreted by the human body, creating an indestructible armor on his skin, or releasing a stream of hardened biomatter to trap others in a shell, and he was in Genosha, prior to Cassandra Nova’s Sentinel attacks and was part of the millions slaughtered. However, after Eli Bard began resurrecting deceased mutants to be Selene’s thralls on Genosha, his mutant energy signature is detected in Bastion’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. It is unknown if he survived Selene’s ascension to godhood on Genosha. Last Mentioned: X-Force (vol. 3) #21.

Barrage (???): Deceased. Status as a mutant debatable, as Barrage has been both classified as a mutant, but an Inhuman who was experimented upon by Apocalypse. Retained his powers after the Decimation. Barrage is a member of the Dark Riders with the power to radiate bioenergy in the form of photovoltaic and concussive force blasts that he channels through wrist generators. Barrage was originally slain by Madelyne Pryor in X-Man #46, but was later revealed to be alive after Secret Wars (vol. 3). He was killed while he was attempting to assassinate Shen Xorn. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 4) #4.

Base (Hiro Sokuto): Status after the Decimation unknown. Hiro is a Japanese mutant and member of the super team known as Genetix with control over the four ancient elements: earth, fire, wind and water. He is the brother of Tattoo of the super team know as Tektos who is also a mutant. Hiro was last seen listed as a foreign national on Tony Stark’s list of potential Initiative recruits. Bash (Vincent Gardner): Status after the Decimation unknown. Bash was a mutant with enhanced strength and durability, who was last seen escaping custody with Cooter after being captured by Excalibur. Last Appearance: Excalibur (vol. 1) #28.

Basilisk (Mike Columbus): Deceased. Basilisk was a member of Xorn’s “Special Class” with the power to create a strobe of light from his eye that would temporarily paralyze opponents. Basilisk had his throat crushed for making annoying bad jokes at dramatic moments by Xorn while the villain is high on the drug Kick during his New York City rampage. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #149.

Bates, William "Billy" aka Porcupine III: Deceased. Billy Bates was a mutant with the power to reshape his flesh into spiky projections, who killed a major anti-mutant lobbyist defending his crush Sylvie Lauziere. He was assassinated on Alexei Vazhin's orders in order to prevent the cycle of violence from continuing. Last appearance: District X #14.

Battering Ram (???): Deceased. A human/goat hybrid member of X-Force, X-Statix killed in the Boys-R-Us Massacre. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #116.

Bertram ???: Status as a mutant not confirmed, believed to only be a homeless human altered by Masque. Current status unknown after M-Day. Bertram was one of the New York City Morlocks, and he had a rubbery, obese body. He may have died on “The Hill", or in the flooding of the New York sewers. Berzerker (Ray Carter): Resurrected as a techno-organic virus-infected thrall of Selene. Berzerker, a member of the Morlocks, is apparently still in possession of his electrical powers after the Decimation. He was romantically linked to his fellow Morlock, Scaleface. He originally died while trying to use his electricity powers to blast Cyclops, but instead, Cyclops blasted him into a pool of water in the sewers where he had apparently electrocuted himself in X-Factor (vol. 1) #11. He turned up with his powers, alive, in X-Necrosha #1, as a techno-organic virus-infected thrall of Selene. He was last seen attacking the X-Men on Utopia. Bishop (Lucas Bishop): Bishop was not depowered by M-Day, retaining his power to absorb and rechannel energy. During “Messiah Complex”, Bishop had one of his arms bitten off by Predator X, and cauterized the wound with Sunfire, then stole and attached a prosthetic nuclear-powered battle-ready arm from Forge’s lab before pursuing Cable and the new mutant baby into the future to attempt to murder her. His prosthetic arm, through his conflict through time with Cable, has been badly damaged and is little more than a stub beneath his shoulder now. Bitner, Gene: Current status unknown after M-Day. This mutant telepath was a member of the group Promise. Last Appearance: X-Men: The Hidden Years #22.

Black, Mulholland: Deceased. Originally de-powered on M-Day, then repowered. Mulholland originally lost her power to convert psychic energy to electrical energy. She was, for awhile, repowered by the Initiative, and given the power to possess a psycho-kinetic connection to cities full of people. However, after the organization known as SHADOW tried to remove those powers, they somehow reactivated her mutant ones. Mulholland was killed after her powers were amped out of control so that she would make all of Los Angeles frenzy and riot by Ezekiel Stane, and died, either of seizures, or at the hands of her teammate, Henry Hellrung (undetermined cause of death). Black Box (Garabed Bashur aka Commcast): Black Box had the power receive electromagnetic data transmissions mentally and store them within his consciousness, and was one of the inner circle on Cable’s island nation of Providence. He was originally shot in the head and killed by Deadpool in Deadpool: The Circle Chase #3, and then, after apparently having cloning technology to restore himself back to life, Black Box was brutally murdered by Sabertooth in the wake of the Hecatomb’s attack on Providence in Cable and Deadpool #41. He has apparently been restored to life again reappearing in Deadpool (vol. 2) #57, possibly through a cloning process, which he has utilized before. He was last seen climbing out of a crashed helicopter after trying to get revenge on Deadpool in Texas with Black Tom Cassidy and Black Swan. Last Appearance: Deadpool (vol. 2) #60.

Black Death (Ivan Kivelki): Status after the Decimation unknown. Black Death was a Russian mutant with the power to take control of another person's actions and tell them what to do. He was forced to wear a containment suit after being exposed to a biological weapon. When last seen, he was defeated by the Beast and Darkstar, and was taken into the custody of the Russian government, who were still trying to find a cure to the bio-weapon that afflicted him. Black Shadow/White Shadow (???): Deceased. This Chinese mutant suffered from varied mental illnesses and had the power to embody several energy forms at once, apparently survive without food or water, and had enhanced strength. He was last seen battling Wolverine, and himself, before being impaled on Wolverine's adamantium claws. Last Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents (vol. 1) #47.

Black Swan (???): The Black Swan was an assassin-for-hire who could create a telepathic virus that would shut down the motor control of his opponents. He was killed by Deadpool, and Agent X, and his body was stuffed and kept by Agency X as a trophy in Agent X #15, but somehow was returned to life to again by unknown means, and attempted to kill Deadpool again. Black Tom Cassidy (Tom Cassidy): Retained his mutation on M-Day, and has his original power to create energy blasts, provided they were channeled through non-conductive organic matter, like his shillelagh, as well as an ability to control plants. He lost his ability to turn into a wooden, tree-like creature that had vast earth elemental and plant-controlling powers. He was last seen being knocked out on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean to Siberia. Last Appearance: X-Men: Blue #1.

Black Womb (Amanda Mueller): Deceased. Retained her powers after the Decimation. Black Womb was a mutant with a slowed aging process. She was killed by Mr. Sinister, briefly taking control of Professor X’s body, took control of the Alamogordo facility, and crushed her in servo cables at his command. Blackgar, Marlene: Current status unknown. Marlene had the mutant power to gaze upon living creatures and turn them to stone. Bob is a member of Project Purgatory, a group aged from the “Inferno Babies”, a group of mutants who were originally kidnapped by N’astirh to be sacrificed in a demonic ritual, then rescued by X-Factor, then taken by Freedom Force and given to military scientists, who raised them in Limbo in the hopes that they would become a platoon of powerful mutant soldiers. Bob has the power to cut a piece of himself off, and transform it into a miniature sentient version of himself, that eventually can be reabsorbed into his mass. Cable (Nathan Dayspring Summers): Unaffected by M-Day. Cable’s last romantic interest was a woman he met in a future timeline named Hope. He currently possesses his telekinesis, which he had restored by the Mummadrai for his battle against the Hecatomb. His powers would not help him defeat the alien threat, though and in this battle he lost his power of telepathy. Cable was assassinated by a younger version of himself from another timeline in Extermination #1. He was last seen talking to a resurrected Cyclops. Last Appearance: Extermination #5.

Caiman (??? Caiman): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Caiman was a member of Unus's gang in the ruins of Genosha with a reptilian mutation that presumably granted him increased strength and durability. Cain (John Gideon): Deceased. Cain was a mutant that could rebuild solid objects with a touch, through the creation of stone constructs. He was killed in a London subway crash. Last Appearance: Pryde and Wisdom #3.

Calhoun, Joseph "Licorice": Status after the Decimation unknown. Licorice Calhoun was a mutant musician from the 1930s with the ability to warp reality unknowingly while he was unconscious, after connecting his mind to others telepathically. Caliban (???): Believed deceased. Is still in possession of his mutant tracking powers after the Decimation, and his resurrection. Caliban dove into the path of three bullets, apparently sacrificing himself to save Warpath in New X-Men (vol. 2) #45. However, in X-Force (vol. 3) #11, his corpse was reanimated with the techno-organic virus by Eli Bard. He was last seen on Genosha as a part of Selene’s army, prior to her completing the spell to achieve godhood and it is believed he was consumed in the magic ritual to achieve Selene’s ascension to godhood on Genosha. Callisto (???): Depowered on M-Day. Callistio was temporarily repowered by Quicksilver and the Terrigen Mists, but her advanced senses were so strong they would overwhelm her during the temporary time she was in control of her powers. Camacho, Eleanor “Ellie”: Confirmed to be a mutant, but has yet to develop mutant powers. Eleanor Camacho, the daughter of Deadpool, was revealed to have an X-Gene in Deadpool (vol. 3) #34, but has yet to develop powers. She was last seen with Deadpool at Ziggyland. Campbell, Carol: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Carol Campbell was a mutant capable of wreathing her entire body in flame, however, she did not have any immunity to the flames she produced. She was last seen being taken to the hospital after she lost her self-control and burned herself after finding out that her husband, Ned, was cheating on her with another man. Campbell, Ned: Deceased. Ned Campbell was a mutant capable of astrally projecting who lived in Mutant Town. He died when he was clawed in his astral form by Wolfsbane, after she caught him carrying out an affair with another man in his astral body, and he tried to silence her. Last Appearance: Madrox #4.

Candra (aka Kandra aka the Benefactress aka the Red Death): Believed deceased. An External, or immortal mutant telekinetic, Candra seemingly died after placing the sum of her powers in a gem she referred to as her “heart” and the gem was be destroyed, dispersing her life essence in X-Men (vol. 2) #61, but slowly reconstituted her immortal form over time, and returned to manipulate the Assassin’s Guild, only to be killed when she was stabbed in the head by Kaine in Scarlet Spider (vol. 2) #19. Cannonball (Sam Guthrie): Not affected by M-Day. Sam retained his power to create a his "blast-field" after the Decimation. His current romantic interest is his former Avengers teammate, Smasher. Cannonfoot (???): Deceased. Possibly a mutant, based on parentage, but mutant status not yet confirmed. Cannonfoot had a talent for being able to kick cannonball projectiles with his feet at foes with enough force to be lethal. He was a member of the Mongrels, a group employed by the Red Right Hand that consisted of bastard children of Wolverine, that he was unaware he had fathered through the years. He was killed by Wolverine at the headquarters of the Red Right Hand in Mexico. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 4) #10.

Captain Britain (Brian Braddock): Unaffected by M-Day. Sometimes Brian is listed as a mutant, other times as having his powers granted to him magically by Merlyn and Roma to be a member of the Captain Britain Corps. Captain Britain was working under the auspices of the British government under MI:13, but has recently begun resuming his role in the Captain Britain Corps on Otherworld, as well as the Avengers. He is currently happily married to his wife, Meggan. He was last seen at the wedding of Rogue and Gambit. Last Appearance: X-Men: Gold #30.

Ross is Gamma ray enhanced latent Canadian mutant whose body is composed of a semi-solid liquid state that can shoot blast of waters and flow through small openings. Cascade was last seen aiding Alpha Flight against the Leader and Kimara the Cloudstalker. Last Appearance: Marvel Superheroes Official Game Adventure MH-5 Cat's Paw (canon, believe it or not).

Cassandra Nova: Retained some telepathic powers after M-Day, in any case, and was last seen existing as a psychic entity without a body. Her mind was transferred into the body of the metamorphic Imperial Guardsman, Stuff, while he was in a larval form, and it was placed within a containment tube in the bowels of the X-Mansion. While at one point it was considered possible she escaped during one of the many inevitable destructions of the mansion, in any event, a version of Cassandra Nova escaped to a distant future timeline, and returned to the past to possess a girl name Ginny. She was last seen in Genosha, having a psychic battle with the X-Men. Last Appearance: X-Men: Red #11.

Castorp, Adrian Leverkuhn: Deceased. Castorp was a six-fingered mutant who could see in the infrared spectrum. He died when the circuit suit he wore shorted out and electrocuted him. Last Appearance: Defenders (vol. 1) #142.

Catalyst (???): Deceased. Catalyst was a mutant with the power to control the rate of all chemical reactions, including those within living organisms. He died when he fell off a cliff into a river of piranhas. Last Appearance: Sabretooth and Mystique #4.

Catrini, Susan: Depowered by the Decimation. Susan was a telepath confirmed as depowered when Michael Pointer detects her mutant energies as part of the Collective. Last Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents (vol. 2) #11.

Catseye (Sharon Smith): Resurrected with the techno-organic virus. Catseye, one of the Hellions, still has her power to transform into a humanoid feline or panther after the Decimation. She was supposedly killed off-panel by Trevor Fitzroy to fuel his time-travel portals in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #282.
However, she turned up with her powers, alive, in X-Necrosha #1, as a techno-organic zombie in the thrall of Selene. She was last seen on Utopia, attacking the New Mutants. It is unknown if he survived Selene’s ascension to godhood on Genosha. Last Appearance: New Mutants (vol. 3) #8.

Cell (???): Deceased. Cell was a member of the Chicago Morlocks, and had the power that he existed as one large cell. He died after being executed by a Sentinel. Last Appearance: Morlocks #4.

Centennial (Rutherford Princeton): Current status after M-Day unknown. Centennial was an elderly mutant with superhuman strength, invulnerability, flight, and heat vision related to Alpha Flight. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 3) #12.

Cephalopod (Molly Stanwick): Current status after M-Day unknown. This tentacled young mutant was a student at Academy X. Last Appearance: New X-Men (vol. 1) #117.

Cerise: Shi’ar alien, and not a mutant. Cerise was once a member of Excalibur, and romantically involved with Nightcrawler. She was last seen with Gambit and Rogue, trying to protect Shi’ar Princess Xandra. Last Appearance: Mr. and Mrs. X #5.

Chamber (Jonathon “Jono” Starsmore aka Decibel): Chamber was originally depowered on M-Day, but then kidnapped from the hospital where he was living on a respirator without his powers by Clan Akkaba. After using the blood of Apocalypse and other technology to cure Jono, he developed an appearance making him look more like the Apocalypse, the ancient mutant Clan Akkaba claims he is descended from, in New Excalibur #9. He then was operating as a vigilante using advanced technology, and demonstrating what appeared to be sonic powers in New Warriors (vol. 4) #1-20. He was not seen then until “Age of X”, and at its conclusion, in New Mutants (vol. 3) #24, as Legion used his vast powers to reset reality, Chamber was left with his original power set. Jono’s last romantic interest was the pop star Sugar Kane, prior to M-Day. He was last seen at Rogue and Gambit’s housewarming party. Last Appearance: Mr. and Mrs. X #6.

Chambers, Timothy: Deceased. Timothy Chambers was the father of the villain Empyrean, whose mutation accelerated his aging and who was killed in a car accident. Last appearance: X-Men Annual (vol. 2) #2.

Chance (???): Current status unknown after M-Day. This Chance was a member of the Fallen Angels, and at one time one of the Vanisher’s thieves. She had the power to randomly enhance, or inhibit the abilities of other mutants, which she referred to as her "double or nothing" power. Last Appearance: Fallen Angels (vol. 1) #7.

Changeling (Kevin Sydney): Deceased. The metamorphic mutant more commonly known as Morph’s 616 counterpart died in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #42 in battle with Grotesk while impersonating Professor X, without the X-Men’s knowledge. While his ghost has been used as a plot device, he has never successfully had his 616 incarnation return from the dead. Last appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #42.

Chase, Trevor: Current status after the Decimation unknown. Trevor was the grandson of Destiny and surrogate nephew of Mystique, with the power to warp reality to his liking. Last appearance: X-Factor (vol. 1) #139.

Chat (Sophia Sanduval): Specific origin of her powers is unknown. She originally had a counterpart on Earth-20051 who was a mutant. She is believed to be a mutant on Earth-616 as well. Sophia has yet to demonstrate any powers in this universe, but was last seen with Anya Corazon at a New York City museum. Last Appearance: Spider-Girl (vol. 2) #6.

Charm (???): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Charm was a member of Gene Nation with enhanced strength, reflexes, and agility. Charm was last left to survive in an abandoned African village, and to live off the land there. Last Appearance: Storm (vol. 1) #4.

Chela (???): Deceased. Chela was a member of X’s Brotherhood who was killed by being choked with excess skin from Phat at the X-Force parade. Last Appearance: The Brotherhood #9.

Cheney, Lila: Retained her powers after M-Day. Lila Cheney is a mutant teleporter who can only transport herself in interstellar increments. Her last romantic encounter was with her old flame, Cannonball. She was last seen in Washington, D.C., trying to prevent Legion from destroying the Earth as the World Worm. Chipmunk Hunk (Tomas Lara-Perez): Not confirmed as a mutant as of yet, but suspected of being one. Chipmunk Hunk is the college classmate of Squirrel Girl, who has the ability to speak to chipmunks. Chrome (Allen Marc Yuricic): Deceased. Chrome died in the crash of Asteroid M, with his last act being to use his powers of chemical manipulation to coat members of the Acolytes with chrome so that they might survive the crash. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #3.

Cipher (Alisa Tager): Specific origin of her powers is unknown, but believed to be a mutant. Cipher has the power of invisibility, both physical, and to psionics. She was last seen at the Xavier School. Last Appearance: Generation X (vol. 2) #5.

Ciscernos, Selena: Deceased. Not a mutant, but one of the mutant/Deviant hybrid child guinea pigs of the Damocles Foundation. She possessed the power to shapeshift. She died in the hospital after meeting with Domino. Last appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #86.

Clarity (William Knoblach): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Clarity is a mutant with the power to psionically absorb and analyze information to the smallest degree. Last Appearance: Cable (vol. 2) #82.

Clay (???): Possibly Deceased. Retained his powers after the Decimation. Clay is a mutant with Duplication powers, and a mercenary foe most commonly of X-Factor Investigations. He was last seen working for the Assassins Guild to attack Wolverine and Domino, when he, or one of his duplicates was stabbed through the head by Hand ninjas. Depending on if it was Clay, or a duplicate, would be the deciding factor in his survival of this attack. Last Appearance: X-Force: Sex and Violence #2.

Clicker (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Clicker was a member of Sabretooth's first mutant gang, with green skin, who had the power to enflame himself in green plasma. He was last seen witnessing Mystique betraying Sabretooth to authorities. Last appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 1) #40.

Clive (Clive Vickers) Deceased. Clive was a member of X’s Brotherhood who had the mutant ability to fly. He was killed after being run over by Malon Reeves, then to finish him off he was drained completely of life by Bela. Last Appearance: The Brotherhood #4.

Cloak (Tyrone “Ty” Johnson): At some times has been listed as a mutant with a latent X-gene activated by a drug, others as a science-based mutate. Most recently, however, Dr. Nemesis observed that he did not have an X-Gene in Cloak & Dagger One-Shot #1. Tyrone was last seen with Wolverine, Dagger, and Remus, staging a raid on a manse owned by Romulus. Last Appearance: Wolverine (vol. 1) #313.

Cluster (???): Fantomex II is a human-sentinel hybrid, and was created in a cloning accident intended to resurrect Fantomex at Cavern-X. She possesses enhanced reflexes, illusion-generating abilities, and a nervous system, E.V.A. that operates independently of her after the Decimation. Her last romantic interest was Psylocke. Coach (??? Aka The Arm): Deceased. Shot dead by one of the charges on his team, U-Go Girl, after trying to rape her. His lone power was that he had a single arm with enhanced strength. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #120.

Coda (???): Status as a mutant not confirmed, only suspected. Developed his ability to create extendable bone blades from his arms and a reptilian tongue after M-Day. Coffin, Johnston: Deceased. Exact nature of powers uncertain. He may be a mutant, or, as he claims, a living embodiment of the concept of "hatred." Regardless, Coffin was the warden of the House of Correction, with various vaguely-defined powers including levitation, superhuman reflexes, invulnerability, and the ability to summon miniature storms of purple energy. Collective Man (Chang, Han, Ho, Lin, and Sun Toa Yu): Retained their powers to merge into one more powerful entity after M-Day. Collective Man (Men) was a member of a Chinese Superhero team, who was last seen after a battle against the Inhumans near one of the Skyspears. Last Appearance: All New Inhumans #6.

Collider (James “Jim” Prindle): Depowered on M-Day. This former student of the Xavier Institute lost his power to turn matter into any other substance due to the Decimation. Last Appearance: Generation M #4.

Collins, Russel “Rusty” (aka Firefist): Resurrected with the techno-organic virus. This pyrokinetic mutant was at one time a charge of the original X-Factor, but would eventually join both the Mutant Liberation Front, and Acolytes. His longtime romantic interest was Skids. He was killed when Holocaust absorbed his life force, killing him, in X-Men (vol. 2) #42. However, he turned up as a techno-organic virus-infected thrall of Selene in X-Force (vol. 3) #21. He It is unknown if he survived Selene’s ascension to godhood on Genosha. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 3) #22.

Colossus (Piotr Rasputin): Retained his power to have a steel-skinned form with enhanced strength and endurance after the Decimation. Colossus originally died after injecting himself with the Legacy Virus in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #390, but was resurrected by Ord, of Breakworld, in Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #4. He became the avatar of Cyttorak in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #542, but was freed from his influence by Magik’s Soulsword in Uncanny X-Men (vol. 2) #20. His last romantic interest was Domino. Colossus was last seen during the X-Men’s battle against Nate Grey. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 5) #10.

Compound (???): Deceased. Compound was a member of the London Morlocks who was killed by Mr. Clean. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #395.

Connaughton, Liam: This Irish mutant had the power to create explosions at range, and was thought killed a British Army officer Muties #6, rather than let him live so that he might be used as a weapon, but was last seen in London, meeting the Queen of England. Connie ???: Believed Deceased. Current status after the Decimation unknown. Connie was a winged mutant who lived in the town of Mount Haven. She was likely killed by Reverend Paul’s nanomite attack. Last Appearance: X-Treme X-Men (vol. 1) #29.

Conquistador (Miguel Provenza): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Conquistador had a bio-aura with the Earth, that he could use to control rocks, soil, and Earth as well as increase his size, strength, and durability. He was last seen being defeated in battle by El Aguila, who at least temporarily denied him the use of his formidable powers. Last Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents (vol. 1) #9.

Contact (Frida Rivera): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Believed to have been depowered by the Decimation. One of many students controlled by Cassandra Nova and forced to attack Wolverine, but one of the few given a name. This eyeglass-wearing psychometric mutant is believed to have been depowered on M-Day. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #126.

Cool Million (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Cool Million was a mutant with the power to make eye contact with a person, and to plant a suggestion in their mind to command them. Cooper, Valerie “Val”: Human. Val is currently S.H.I.E.L.D.’s deputy director of the Office of National Emergency, and the O.N.E. Sentinel Squad that oversees mutant affairs in the United States. She was last seen participating in a debate on the Fact Channel. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 4) #6.

Cooter (???): Current status after the Decimation unknown. Cooter was a female mutant with the power to psionically increase greed in others. She was last seen helping the mutant Bash escape the custody of authorities. Last Appearance: Excalibur (vol. 1) #28.

Copycat (Vanessa Geraldine Carlysle): Deceased. Copycat was a shapeshifter, and former love interest of Deadpool who was killed by Sabertooth. Last Appearance: Deadpool (vol. 1) #59.

Corben (???): Current status after M-Day unknown. Corben was a mutant with the power to siphon energy from outside sources such living beings, or even light. He was last seen battling X-Force. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #115.

Corkscrew (Timmy Glenn): Deceased. Corkscrew was a mutant with the power to turn his arms into corkscrew-like appendages. He was deemed unfit for duty on X-Force by Doop due to mental instability, and apparently axed to death and buried in the woods a short time later by Doop. Last Appearance: X-Statix #1.

Cortez, Anne-Marie: Deceased. Anne-Marie was a member of Magneto’s Acolytes with telepathic abilities who died when Asteroid M crashed. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #3.

Cortez, Fabian: Believed deceased. Fabian had the power to amplify the mutant powers of others, and was killed by Magneto when he was magnetically grabbed and smashed against rocks on Genosha in Magneto: Dark Seduction #4. However, he would be resurrected with the techno-organic virus, and turn up in the attack on Utopia in X-Force Annual (vol. 3) #1 as one of Selene’s thralls. He was last seen on Utopia, battling Deadpool and Loa and was believed killed in this battle, or by Selene, in the ritual she cast to achieve godhood. Last Appearance: X-Force Annual (vol. 3) #1.

Costanza, Mrs. (??? Costanza aka ??? Danzinger aka The Siren): Deceased. This mutant, whose first name is never given, had the power to speak, and gain the obsessive loyalty of whoever heard her voice. She was shot and killed by Officer Gus Kucharsky of the NYPD. Last Appearance: District X #1.

Cougar (???): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Cougar was a mutant with a feline mutation whose only appearance was that a statue of him was brought to life to fight Cyttorak by Stevie Wojciehowicz. Last Appearance: Marvel Age #64.

Cowboy was a member of Team America a.k.a. the Thunderiders, and had the power to project his strength, stamina, and knowledge into another collective being along with the other members of Team America. Cox (??? Cox): Deceased. Cox was a member of The Gauntlet, with unspecified powers, who was killed off-panel by the Down-Spiral creatures. Last mentioned: X-Man #63.

Crag (???): Current status unknown after the Decimation. Crag may have been a mutant, or a Savage Land Mutate. He had a body seemingly made of stone, and was last seen being left to live in the Savage Land by Alpha Flight. Last Appearance: Alpha Flight (vol. 1) Annual #2.

Cragg, Nelson: Deceased. Cragg was an inmate at the Ravencroft Asylum who was killed by Prism after losing his powers on M-Day. Last Appearance: Generation M #3.

Crawler (???): Current status unknown after M-Day. Crawler was a member of the Mutant Underground of Singapore who could climb up walls. He was last seen locating Magneto in Singapore. Last Appearance: X-Men vs. Avengers #4.

Crazy Legs (???): Status currently unknown after the Decimation. Crazy Legs was a member of the mutant gang known as Trash, and was last seen being loaded onto an ambulance by Luke Cage. Last Appearance: Cage (vol. 1) #11.

Crazy Maisie (???): Believed to have developed mutant powers after the Decimation. Crazy Maisie’s powers are unknown, due to her being forced to wear an inhibitor collar in her only appearance. She was last seen serving time as an inmate in the Robert Kelly Correctional Facility. Last Appearance: X-Men: Gold #25.

Creed, Clara: Status currently unknown after the Decimation. Clara Creed is the sister of Sabretooth, and possessed a healing factor and the ability to psinoically communicate with animals. She was last working in a circusas an animal trainer around the turn of the 20th Century. Last Appearance: Origin II #5.

Creed, Saul: ] Deceased. Saul Creed was the brother of Sabretooth, and possessed a healing factor and enhanced senses for tracking. He was killed when he was drowned in a vat of chemicals at one of Mr. Sinister’s labs by Wolverine around the turn of the century. Last Appearance: Origin II #5.

Crimson Commando (Frank Bohannon): Deceased. Bohannon lost his powers in the Decimation. Prior to it, he had peak physical abilities, the power to be resistant to psychic attacks, and a slowed aging factor complemented by cybernetic implants. Once the Decimation hit, the former Freedom Force member started aging rapidly, and began to fear he would die if he could not find some kind of intervention for his problem. He died when Wolverine decapitated him with his claws for kidnapping Hope Summers, who he was hoping to try and force to somehow cure him. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #539.

Crimson Commando II (???): Status currently unknown. This mysterious woman appeared as part of Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants taking up the mantle of Crimson Commando, and was defeated and has not been seen since. It is unknown if she retained her powers after M-Day. Last Appearance: X-Men (vol. 2) #106.

Crimson Daffodil (aka Wombat aka ???): Status currently unknown after the Decimation. Crimson Daffodil had the power to dampen the fear centers of a person’s brain, and reroute those signals to the pleasure centers of the brain, instead, making them unusually cooperative with him. He was last seen battling the Marked Man. Last Appearance: Cloak And Dagger (vol. 3) #11.

Critical Mass (Arnie Gunderson): Possibly deceased. Critical Mass was an obese mutant who could release energy blasts from his hands, and was a foe of Spider-Man and Wolverine. He was believed killed when his hostage, Mary, blew up his hideout, though given that Spider-Man, Wolverine, Bloodlust, and Whiplash survived the explosion, he could very well still be out there. Last appearance: Marvel Comics Presents (vol. 1) #50.

Croc (???): Deceased. Croc was a member of the London Morlocks who was killed by Mr. Clean. Last Appearance: Uncanny X-Men (vol. 1) #395.

Cross, Asher: Current status after M-Day unknown. Asher Cross was a boy who attended the same summer camp as a teenaged Kitty Pryde, and had the power to create “will-o-wisps”, which were light constructs, when under stress. He was last seen fleeing from Kitty Pryde after kissing her, already worried that they might have mutant children together someday. Last Appearance: X-Men: Gold Annual #2.

Cross, Elijah: Deceased. Leader of the terrorist faction X-Cell, who believed M-Day was a government conspiracy. Lost his powers to manipulate density after M-Day, and tried to regain them after an encounter with Quicksilver. However, his repowering was not meant to be, as Elijah soon began to smoke, and he exploded on the spot, killing him. Last Appearance: X-Factor (vol. 3) #17.

Crosta (Crosta ???): Retained his mutant powers after M-Day. Crosta is a mutant Atlantean with the power to create explosive, directed shockwaves. He was last seen at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Last Appearance: Nightcrawler (vol. 4) #8.

Crule (???): Deceased. Absalom was an External with enhanced speed and strength, as well as bone spurs projecting from his body. He died when his life energy was drained by Selene. Last Appearance: X-Force (vol. 1) #52.

Crumm, Lucy: Current status after M-Day unknown. Lucy was a telepath and empath who was last seen nearly being wed to Blackheart, but was rescued by a trio of heroes. She apparently also shed one drop of blood on a dagger that was used by Blackheart to slay Mephisto. Last Appearance: Wolverine/Punisher/Ghost Rider: Dark Design #1.

Cryptid (Andy Hartnell): Status after the Decimation unknown. Andy was a feral ratlike mutant who was last seen being taken out trick-or-treating from the Xavier Institute on Halloween. Last Appearance: X-Men Unlimited (vol. 2) #1.
