A little late commenting on this one, but I just wanted to say that I am doing my part attempting to create a new generation of Burroughs fans. My kids all enjoy Disney's Tarzan film and the John Carter movie. Recently, my 12 year old said "Dad, I just read this great book. You should read it." So I made a deal with him that I would read his "Spirit Animals" book if he would read "A Princess of Mars." He's enjoying that one, but he's now even more anxious to read "Tarzan of the Apes." Hopefully the new "Legend of Tarzan" will present a more Burroughsian Tarzan than we have seen in the past, and perform better at the box office than "John Carter" did, encouraging more Burroughs projects in the future.
