Michael B Jordan is as bad as Ryan Reynolds at picking projects. Seriously when was the last time there was a horror comedy that didn't suck. And Creed is just picking the bones of the Rocky franchise, without actually rebooting Rocky as a black guy.

I like Michael B. Jordan. His career doesn't deserve to be tainted by the failures of Fantastic Four. I saw a trailer for Creed when I saw Jurassic World. I thought it looked great. I think he's a star on the rise and a movie like this could help. I just think he was in the wrong place a the wrong time for Fantastic Four.

A bomb he did not cause despite what the MBJ anti fanbase will scream and cry about.
Those will be the same folks who will flock to Deadpool despite their hate for Fox.
At least with this film he'll be left alone since comic fans don't care for movies not under the Marvel or DC banner.
It doesn't matter if the actor is directly responsible for the bomb or not, it's a black mark on their resume, actors that have enough clout, ie Clooney or Affleck, can eat them a bit easier but for a younger actor it can definitely impact the kind of work available to them.
Agreed. If the Fantastic Four had come out before he was cast in Creed, it is likely he might not have gotten the roll, or even been asked to audition. If Creed does well, he can rebound.
You guys would have a point about Box office bombs if the movie was actually created as a vehicle for Michael B. Jordan. Box Office Bombs only negative effects an actor when the entire movie is marketted around their (alleged) bank-ability.
Saying this will negative impact him makes as much sense as saying X-Men Origins Wolverine would stall Hugh Jackman's career.

Unless you have a long string of movies that you have been in, in Hollywood you are only as good as your last movie. For Michael, being one of the leads in a flop like FF after only having done a few films is more detrimental to his career than if say Harrison Ford had as big a bomb.
Jordan will be fine.
Most actors have bombs in their careers.
Creed looks like it'll turn things around for MBJ.
He will be fine, the movie would have only ruined him if he was the only character in it.
In Domestic money, the film only made just about half it's budget. That is a pretty big flop since the domestic take is the barometer for how the movie does, because the studio doesn't get a huge chunk of the international money due to distribution deals. So yes, it IS as big a flop as people say.
And the problem isn't fans or moviegoers, the problem is Hollywood execs who are the people that make the casting choices. If an actor is perceived to be a box office pariah, then they don't get roles. It's as simple as that.
