This sums up everything I said as I was reading. I feel like it's pointless to have Peter demanding web shooters he can always make more of. I hope that flare was some kind of "spider-speed" ability Peter has. It would be pretty realistic we all know how fast spiders can be lol
Welp, that makes sense. Crushed my hopes of spider-speed too

I hope so. It would make Peter's comeback cooler.
That was a really weird knockout scene, but yea I see now I read too much into it
Has anyone else noticed the change in art style? Of course Marquez is looking mighty fine as always but all the panels are now overlapping has anyone noticed it? Wonder if it's just for this arc.
I also noticed it. In Ultimate Spider-man #200 there was also a panel that repeated like 4 times... but it still looked fantastic. We need someone like Marquez on ASM too.
Thought it was an improvement over the first. I quite like where this story is going but if Peter is actually back it's going to feel like a huge cop out. I'm also not too hot about a Peter clone becoming a permanent member of the cast. Spider-Woman is enough, I think. Bendis should do interesting things with her character.
I don't mind the decompression at all. I'd rather read a storyline that has a natural and well paced progression rather than having a very choppy paced and stuffed arc where action and plot take precedent over the character scenes. One of the most annoying things about many comic series is that the 22 page issue dictates pacing and a lot of plot movements and character development feels rushed because of it.
It also makes the bigger moments hit even harder.
The latveria package is Venom, right?
Decent issue, obvious that it's a clone tho. Peter Parker isn't a douché.
You see Bendis? Everyone, even Miles, thinks this Peter is just another clone. Just make him the real one and boom actual twist!!
That'd be cool. I'm starting to think those spider-twins are Roxxon.
I don't know why everyone keeps saying that. He started off really calm until Miles started cussing at him and threatened to tell his aunt he was alive. Peter doesn't know Miles or, really, anything that has happened for the past two years. If anything, Miles was being a moron about the whole thing. Peter just wanted the things he had had made for him by Tony Stark back. Peter doesn't have the materials nor time, assuming he's come back to deal with Green Goblin. I, honestly, am staring to think he might be the real one.Decent issue, obvious that it's a clone tho. Peter Parker isn't a douché.
