The spider is always on the hunt.
Looks like Sony's planning an all-female spin-off from the Spider-Verse movie with Gwen as the lead:

I've been going through alot of the classic Gwen Stacy appearances in the original issues, and I wanted to know if any of the more knowledgable people on classic Spider-Man may know, what is the issue/moment that you think Gwen and Peter become an official couple? And I don't just mean them both recognizing their feelings for each other, but the one where they decide to be together.
By the way, it's confirmed Gwen can do the Venom clothes thing:
I'm sure it allows her maximum mobility. Feels like she's wearing nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all.
Stupid sexy Flanders!

I did some digging, and based on everything I've seen, unless I'm missing something, I would probably say #66, right after the George Stacy hypnotized by the Kingpin story is when they become a couple, since that seems to be the first time when they're really acting like they're in a relationship.
In comparison, I would probably say #149, the end of the Spider-Clone story, is when Peter and MJ become a true couple.

MJ: "That suit's a little revealing, isn't it?"
Gwen: "Allows for maximum mobility! Kinda feels like I'm wearing nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all!
MJ: "Aagh! Stupid, sexy Gwen!"
Probably why she finds it so hard to get a date, as the author indicated. Your clothes turning into spiders is a gigantic turn-off for a lot of people.
