seeing as there's not a lot of material with her just yet....that would be a waste of a thread....besides it's not like 616 Gwen Stacy will be coming back anytime soon so why not use this thread?

I'm not sure if any character on this site has two separate threads for two different versions of the characters. Its like on comicvine, no character has two separate pages for a variant version. Not even Ultimate Spider-Man (Peter Parker that is) has his own page.

so then we just leave this thread to die in that case? because 616 Gwen Stacy is dead and will continue to be dead....she's dead in the movies she doesn't exist in the current cartoons all that would be left is fan art and hopeless memories of the past

This is how, a correctly categorized Spider-Man forum, should be structured.
You'll notice that Spider-Verse Gwen, has her own thread (in the Spider-Verse board), and that earth-616 Gwen has a whole one devoted to her character.

You can keep discussing about a character forever, all it takes is for new people, with new ideas, to enter the conversation.

problem is that Spider-Gwen has only been around since September(Edge Of Spider-Verse#2)so there's not a lot of material to warrant another thread...more so because we'll have to wait until February before we can really get to see her on her own without spider-verse being in the middle of it

and what new ideas? she's dead....the only time she's ever used is for flashbacks(if they even go that far)and the only time they use her in other media is when they need her to act as a replacement for MJ

Fans reacted so strongly because gwen stacy was getting a chance to finally do something on her own instead of being the helpless victim that spider-man could not hope to save and they demanded a series because they didn't want Gwen to remain a character only known for her death...nothing more

if we stripped Spider-Gwen from this topic and left it to 616 Gwen then we'll just be forcing those same fans to keep talking about how gwen was such a wasted character and how she got a better rep outside the comics than she did inside them....

There's a lot of threads out there, with far fewer posts than the total amount you could collect about Spider-Gwen, already. Once she gets her own series it'll increase substantially, granted, but I don't see why you have to wait for that to happen.

Ideas about the character, opinions if you will.

A new character, going by the name of "Gwen Stacy", sharing a modicum of traits with the older one, is given a chance to do different things. Not that the old one was inert, or that some people don't know of her, for more than ASM 121.

She wasn't a wasted character, IMO.
