Ooooh, you know things have gotten real when the word 'purview' is in the headline.

I'm confused, "more creative freedom"? Would this not mean less creative freedom now that Feige has to report to Disney rather than Marvel, so to speak? Legitimate question, the business stuff always confuses me

Permultter still has his grip on the comics, though...

Perhaps he will be less interested in pushing MCU canon and 616 to align so much.

feige is a friend of the x-men, though.

having the direct ear of disney chief without ike in the room could work wonders for the marvel/fox relationship overall. and that would then eventually trickle down to the comics.

Let's just hope he doesn't take it out on the Fox properties anymore than he already has.

Disney actually makes a very diverse range of products, they just only slap the family friendly Disney name on the appropriate stuff. Disney is one of those companies that like, secretly owns half the world in one way or another, so him reporting to 'Disney' is more or less 'do what you want as long as you keep bringing in the dollars'.

Brilliant news, let's hope the marginalisation of Perlmutter continues.
