I think Pixie was busy with a Geometry project. And Nightcrawler's really more of a combat teleporter, not some Uber like Pix.
Yep, combat teleporting is his strength. Maybe something important is supposed to happen with the BB and that's why they aren't using Pixie. Maybe it crashes or there is a catfight, lol. That's usually the reason the most obvious one isn't being used.
Yet, Storm is not using Pixie despite how urgent she is, so the brainfarting seems to be in abundance this issue.

Now that I think about it. Shouldn't the girl with wings have a lot more trouble flying upside down than someone who does it with unexplained comic powers?
Game Over man! Game Over!
Yeah, that was pretty grim. I'm hoping she just got Wendigo-ized.
Pretty terrible way for Heather to go down. Why was she flying so close to the ground anyway? Just for plot purposes? I hate plot-induced character stupidity.
It was sad to see Puck and Talisman just ignore her call like that. *Sigh*. Us Canadians are supposed to be so nice, but our official super-team has always been a bunch of dysfunctional jerks. It's official: Alpha Flight is the worst.
Also, why isn't Northstar part of the x-team charging to the rescue next issue?
Hm, I'm complaining too much: I loved this issue actually. Gorgeous artwork! So cool to see Guardian and Vindicator drawn by McGuinness! I loved how he depicted their energy fields while in flight.
Peter reunited with Nightcrawler. WHOO! Storm all in charge and kicking ass and being all super snarky. McGuinesss draws some awesome Wendigos - I like how they're each slightly distinct from one another.
